A BMW from a time before the utter tosh that they sell now. Well bought.

Nice motor, I put a M50 2.5 in my cabriolet as frankly I got fed up with cooling issues/cracked heads/stripped threads in the block of the original M52 engine which I personally found nothing special at all. The M50 feels just as fast but a lot stronger.

Also agree with this, my n plate cabrio has no major rust on it anywhere yet I hear the E46 models rot for fun.

My brother has an m52 2.8 in his e30. Its wild:)

I'm hoping the 2.0 m50 is a happy bedfellow with the autobox.

Already used in excess of 10 gallons of the bastarding stuff today. Doesn't smell as nice as derv either.

Kirkcudbright was duly reached with me marvelling at the intelligence of whoever specced the car originally.

No trinkets like an obc or air con. Just a switchable auto, a 6pot and cruise in a cloth clad and armrest endowed interior.

Soon enough I was back home, and the m50 needed its second feed in my first 24hrs of ownership.
