I'd love to turn up for this with a weed burner and burn the fur off then drive off in it while still smoking/steaming depending on weather.

seth Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 That early Equipe is superb! Looks like a really good project.
dollywobbler Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 There's a few of those Bond Rangers floating about. Imagine what one would be like with a Stilleto-tune engine in the back! Wheeeeeeelie!Seth - surely you could give that Equipe the MX-5 treatment?
seth Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 There was a reason for making it all just bolt in

Guest Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Esperos are for winners. Such a handsome shape!
wuvvum Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 There's a few of those Bond Rangers floating about. Imagine what one would be like with a Stilleto-tune engine in the back!Fugging terrifying, that's what. They're scary enough with the standard low-compression 875 engine - I never knew a car with 34bhp could feel overpowered, but when your arse is four inches from the road and you're sat in a flimsy three-wheeler with no seatbelts and virtually no structure in front of you, 60mph is quite an experience. Subjectively it's scarier than a Regal at the same speed. I never had the bottle to try out the supposed 85mph top speed in mine.

Luverly.

r.welfare Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 That looks bloody tidy, not like your usual shagged-out 80's Yank rubbish. Quite stylish for an N-body, too.
warren t claim Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 That looks bloody tidy, not like your usual shagged-out 80's Yank rubbish. Quite stylish for an N-body, too. It's OK but not that fantastic. It used to live not far from me.
r.welfare Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Let's have some more reasonably-priced Yanks. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1989-OLDSMOBILE-CUTLASS-S-BLACK_W0QQitemZ220550022196 First year for the GM-10 crudmobile, this one has the head-up speedo display. Although what's going on with the rear bumper is anyone's guess. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Lincoln-Continetal-Signiture-1984_W0QQitemZ250573473343 Fox-boy Continental, perhaps you could build a sleeper using 79-93 Mustang hardware. Or perhaps not. Nice velour though. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cadillac-Fleetwood-60-special_W0QQitemZ130363665687 4.5V8 Fleetwood, about 150 brake IIRC so no good 4 Hollywood car chases (cf. "Twins", GR8 4 CRASHIN). The lumpen styling on these is an acquired taste, but ups the shite points no doubt.

The lumpen styling on these is an acquired taste, but ups the shite points no doubt. What do you mean "no good 4 Hollywood car chases"? It's got quite good bhp/litre figures (for a yank tank) and those hubcaps look ready to fall off just at the thought of some enthusiastic cornering!
