A 4*4 Scorpio in beige!

I fear I may have to ask the future Mrs Claim to assist me in dealing with the throbbing lob-on that just looking at this beauty has given me.

What a cracker!!

That Car Mechanics Granny is genuinely rather lovely. Though I never got to drive it, several of my then colleagues seemed to fall in love with it, and must be rather upset to be cruelly parted from it.It's for a good cause though - a gift from a reader and now benefiting Leukemia research. Good luck chaps!

EVERYTHING ELSE IS NOT VERY GOOD

USUAL INNER WINGS AND FRONT

CHASSIS CORROSION

VERY POOR PAINTWORK

Ok, got that.

IDEAL TO GET AN ENGINE FOR YOUR RALLY CAR OR HILLCLIMB CAR AND THEN CONVERT THE CAMPER TO DIESEL

Why bother if it's so rotten?

I'm looking out for a Xantia, they appeal to me quite a bit plus I reckon the adjustable suspension will be handy when there's lots of snow. It'd have to be a TD though, I don't think I could put up with a 1.9D.

BACK TO THE 850 COUPE..THE CLASS IN H.S.A WAS TO BE ROADGOING MODSALOONS UP TO 1400cc..WELL 903cc WOULD NOT MAKE MUCH OF A SPLASH ,SO WITH CONSULTATION WITH www.ScuderiaTopolino.com IT WAS DECIDED THE UNIT WOULD BE MODIFIED AND ENLARGED TO 982cc WITH A MODIFIED CRANKSHAFT FROM AN AUTOBIANCHI A112 ENGINE . RESULTING WITH OTHER MODIFIED COMPONENTS TO GIVE AN ESTIMATED 130 BHP...WITH THE AID OF A TURBOCHARGER AT 15ib ft BOOST!!! SPEEDSCENE REGULATIONS EQUATE TO FORCED INDUCTION BEING 1.4 RATIO TO ACTUAL ENGINE SIZE HENCE 982cc WOULD BE EQUAL TO 1374cc!

ALTHOUGH THE ENGINE IS STILL 903cc AND ABSOLUTE STANDARD IT CAN GIVE THE IDEA OF THE POTENTIAL OF MY EX PROJECT TO BE!

That's been on at least 3 times, I have stopped putting it on my transit forum! oh, and a LC tranny engine in a rally car? Only if you are desperate.....

FRONT PANEL WAS ROTTEN SO I INNOVATED WITH AN AERODYNAMIC DEVICE INCORPERATING THE SILLS IN ALUMINIUM . I HAVE PATCH WELDED THE SILLS AND IN LINE WITH WHAT I HAVE JUST SAID AND NOT WISHING TO HAVE COPIOUS AMOUNT OF FILLER OVER THE SILLS I PLACED AN ALLOY COVER PLATE FOR MODIFICATION AND ENHANCEMENT.

You can tell this guy is a well-meaning but utterly fucking clueless old giffer. I dont know who this racing engine lot are, but you can imagine them being a fairly serious outfit looking after old alfa and fiat racing cars for well-off business men. Our man rings them up, pumping them for hours with stacks of questions, they wearily tell him what can be done money no object, he gets full of enthusiasm and decides thats what hes gonna do. then he puts the phone down, one of his grandkids comes to see him, falls off his bike and knackers it. He then spends £200 on a new bike for the lad and the engine idea is forgotten about immediately. It was never gonna happen anyway.

Do the words 'shed' and 'back to nature' ring any bells?

The 'No Shit Sherlock' award goes to:

and is rather dilapidated

I would think the brakes would be seized on

and the tyres will be perished

I would think you would need a low loader trailer

... and a fucking spade.Anyone want to ask if 'it'll drive home mate?' :D

... or will the bodywork polish out ... etc etc :) You really would have to be devoted ( or plain mental) to take that on.

The heater matrix on the Xantia is said to take care of a weekend, I can't imagine the XM being any easier.

Silly sods have even put their address on it as well. Wonder what the other note in the window says? Broken down?

I really like that era of Corollas, even the 4/5 doors. The wheels trims are class.

While not in a rally car, I think a few people use these lumps for DIY forced induction. They're not a total boat anchor anyway..

I find it hard to believe these Sherpa riot van convertibles still fetch this kind of money

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MG-RV8-Oxford-Blu ... 1e5a1b0270

£15,0000!! Lets see........

For the same money.....

£6,000 for a Porsche Boxter

£4,000 for a Range Rover CSK

£5,000 for a new pair of tits for the missus

All of the above would give me a lot more pleasure than a warmed over 1960's relic.
