I sold my Primera today so sadly I will be unable to take up this kind offer, recieved by e-mail through AutoTrader :"I am interested in immediate purchase of your car. After several consideration over the advert placed on the website,i have really shown interest in it and would really want to issue the payment in form of Bankers Draft and what is the final price. Will you be accepting a Bankers Draft? The Bankers draft that will be issued by me would include the cost for shipping this car to me.I shall solely be responsible for the shipments of this car. Please contact me via email for further questionings as regards to this transaction if you really show willingness in selling this car.Thank You and I am expecting your response asap." Does anyone actually fall for this crap??

Allegedly the director of the consulants a chap I used to work with in the USA did - not the car sale scam but the dodgy bank-notes scam.According to my old colleague (Dave) he was taken for hundreds of thousands even although he was advised by Dave that it was all bullshit he continued regardless and eventually his company collapsed due to lack of funds. The only upside to this tale was that Dave started his own consultancy and came out well ahead financially. Have any of you read about the guy from Scotland that scammed the scammers?

I PURCHASED THIS CAR PRIVATELY FROM A NEIGHBOUR 4 WEEKS AGO FOR MY DAUGHTER TO DRIVE.UNFORTUNATELY, AS I DID NOT TELL HER THAT IT DOES NOT HAVE POWER STEERING AND ELECTRIC WINDOWS SHE HAS REFUSED TO DRIVE IT

What an ungrateful little witch. I suggest kicking her out the house.
Yeah, I absolutely hate that attitude. Its all only because the modern marketing has told you that power steering is a must have (becuase modern suspension geometry and tyre sizes make it so I beleive). I bet she never even tried it. Window cranks! Oh Noes! I hope the steering pump and window motors burn out in the inevitable 306/Clio/Polo

Ungrateful little shit. There are plenty of 17/18 year olds who would love their own first car.

This has the potential to be lovely, but it also has the potential to be a complete fugging nightmare.

That is nice, to the extent that I'll put more pics up.

I'd seriously love that - I've fancied a Cortina MK5 for quite a while now and this one has dartboards, two-tone paint and the wheezy 1300 for cheap tax. Just wish it was brown or something.

I must have had 20 or 30 Mk4 and Mk5 Cortinas... the 1.3s are truly hopeless. Ideal Hirstcab material as long as you make sure the void bushes are knackered. I miss the Mk4 Cortina wobble.
