[Pedant mode]Did they do facelift SD1s on an X-plate? I know the car itself is an '86, but somehow it doesn't look right.[/Pedant mode]

Yes, the facelift came in '82 :)

Could you fit the 2.3 litre Cosworth in that for a quick death?

Posted

You could do, alternatively you could paint it pink and put some fat roundy wheelarches on the back... I reckon if you do that, casual observers checking your street on google earth will think theres a big cock parked in it.

:lol::lol: Buy it and do it Mr B!With a big enough engine installed far enough back you could probably pull wheelies down the high street whilst wolf whistling all the laydeeeez.

Jeez, I just started reading that Pug saga and gave up the will to live ...

I HAVE TALKED TO THE DAUGHTER OF MR PIPER TODAY WHO IS ALSO THE WIFE OF MY HAMMONDS SON

I can actually see this being quite nice to drive.

These old things handle pretty well for a van, and a SWB one with a 2-litre petrol lump ought to be fairly nippy. If it were driveable and I hadn't arranged to buy Krujoe's neighbour's Transit I'd probably be having a punt at this.

Still looking for a pickup mr_B?

Can I be the first to ask WHY?

Because it's great to have a weirdly shaped load area that's 10 cm high at the rear?

Was thinking that it'd be ideal to transport my bicycles...Wonder how much flex there is now though!

That looks dire, what were they thinking! I suppose it ought to stay level with a heavy weight in the back though, (as long as it doesnt snap in half)

This gets my OOOOF 8)
