Oh crikey. DAFs, Watrburgs and Skodas. I'm not sure I can cope!!! :shock:EDIT - think the DAF should be in the 'bargains' thread with a BIN like that. I'd expect a mint runner for £500!

Now with more pics.

And a leaky sunroof by the look of the seats

I'd go batshit for that if i wasn't a pauper.

Still, for nearly 4 large it oughta be good.

Is it me, or is that wheel at a very strange angle? I assume they were alll like that, but it doesn't look very 'sporty'.

Doesn't that Taunus belong to CorKtina, who used to be a member on here? He has a lovely SA-spec 3.0S Mk4 in green too.

Would a 2.0 n/a 850 be a bit 'limp' performance-wise compared to my usual fare?

Certainly looks a useful tool at the money.

The 2-litre 20v 850s actually go pretty well considering. You do have to rev them quite a bit, but that's no bad thing as the 5-pot sounds gorgeous at high revs - kind of a muffled warble that sounds almost like a small-block V8. They actually go better than the 2.5-litre 10v cars, though the 2.5 20v is the one to go for ideally - has a lot more torque than the 2.0. That's what I dragged Hirst's Galant back from Coventry with (although obviously it wasn't Hirst's at the time) and it was brilliant - managed 25mpg too.

seller is "valuecraftshop" so I'm imagining a late middle aged lady into beads and pretty cushions.

ROFFLES!!!!!!!!1!!!!

Hi, can you tell me the condition of the turbo system? Are all the seals in good condition? No oil leaks or untoward rattles or smoking? What level of boost is the turbo set to? Thanks!!!!

Let's see!

I frigging dare you. Take a test drive and remark repeatedly about how punchy the turbo engine is. Whilst being filmed for our pleasure of course.

I for one would literally laugh my arse off.

Buy it to Modify into a cool Racer and then be the envy of your friends

Even my dad wouldn't talk like that...

That 'Turbo' Nova has the same German wheel trims as my AX :lol:I've asked about the performance, it must be bowel shatteringly quick off the mark!

Sadly, the auction has bn has been 'pulled' due to an error in the listing (no shit).

Probably means some humourless mouth-breather from www.realnovaturbos.com wrote in stating the bleedin' obvious. How tiresome.

Edit, just checked my email, here's the reply to my abpve question:

Note: This item had to be ended early and now relisted because of an error in the description. The Rear Insignia badge reads: 'Vauxhall Nova 1.4L Turbo'. The car does not have a turbo-charged system fitted and probably is a factory marking / sales device meaning 'this car has good acceleration' (which by the way it does)!!! The original listing had 'Turbo' included in the title - that is all I have removed to avoid misinterpretation!! Happy Bidding!

Still, factory badging. They should have GM up under the trades descriptions act or somesuch in that case.

LOLz.... "This car has had absolutely no welding to it at all" sounds like a great selling point till you realise it should have had quite a bit. Fibreglass inner wings? Oh noes...
