CHINTZY CUSHIONS R 4 WINNARS. I've got some particularly horrible old floral cushions in the back of my Hillman. I would estimate they have been there approximately 30 years, so seems daft to take them out now, even though they are smelly and covered in dust.

This is interesting.

It's about as much of a convertible as a 2CV is, but I like the idea of something that daft / pointless.

This Beautiful Excalibur Car is the perfect choice of Wedding Car,

Jeez, if I knew I was going to have to be carried to the reception in that, I'd shag the bridesmaid and abscond with the best man the day before ...

'78 Maxi. The wheels trims set it off nicely, don't you think...

At first glance this might look like a Smart but no, it's a Quingqi SH-5000Q-B. ROlls off the tongue, doesn't it?

Not so sure - it's electric, so shouldn't have the pistons-made-out-of-cream-cheese issues of Chinese internal combustion engines. It's harder to make an unreliable electric car, and in something like that if the controller or whatever blew up it'd be straightforward enough to replace with one from a golf cart or suchlike. I like the way he's honest about its features too - "One windshield wiper that actually wipes instead of falling off of the car after 1 day of use", or "The doors no longer leak! Well not as bad as they used to. Still a slow drip during heavy rains, but nothing like the previous model". I still wouldn't buy one though - not for £5K anyway.

I like the bit of red paint on the rear quarter to make it look more like a smartcar when the door is closed...

Love to see the NCAP results for that. Wonder if you get a voucher for a free cremation with every car? Even at the limited 25mph it's going to crumple like a souffle.

What a diabolical POS, I would not even use that as a portaloo.

Not even if you uncovered a stash of GRUMBLE mags in the woods?
Posted

LOLOLOLOL. I doubt you even find grumble mags in the woods in these days of the internets. More's the pity. . . Finding GROT in a ditch on your way home from school was a special treat.

In which case you'll want this to go with it

f'kin too right. Still struggling to convince 'Er Indoors to let me have a big old Westmorland or Vickers Caravan in lieu of an extension.

That cortina looks llike it has had a £100 respray, or maybe even a £10 one.

I think that's why the photos were taken in the dark, check the overspray on the pipes and wires in the engine bay!

I know the guy thats got it, and he's a decent bloke. It looks alright in the metal, not really my cup of tea though as its a base model.. but a very solid old beast

Dave.!!!!! you never said he had a blue base model................... 8) I can just see that with a 2.9 V6 and twin turbos..............fantastic sleeper 8)8)

I was looking at this earlier, the listing says its got a 1.6 fitted though. The thing that put me off it was the welding to the boot area round the fuel filler neck.

The blowover didnt inspire me with confidence either, but i am looking for a winter runaround - undecided.
