That Hunter didn't meet his maker at Wimbledon as quoted in the text; they don't have banger racing there anymore due to the congestion zone and the fact that most banger drivers (myself included, when I did it) drive around in shitty old Ford Cargos which chuck out more shit than you can possible shake a stick at.As he lives in Newquay, could be Westworld...?

He did race it at Wimbledon first at the Pre 75 meeting, and it survived to go back out at Westworld, it was the last 'proper' banger meeting at Wimbledon before the low emissions thing came in... removes anorak

YO TORSTEN! Whats happening with your ital?

I smell a rat with that Ital, nice though it looks, why is the engine bay and the inside of the boot black? I'd have it though!

I popped my Ital on ebay 3 weeks ago no reserve and it hit £400 to a non payer, surprise surprise, so with that in mind I bunged it back on ebay classifieds at £650 or offers and a very nice man snapped it up within minutes! I have now popped one of my Rivas on there as well, too skint to fuel the buggers at the moment!

Is the blackness not just some dodgy period rust treatment?

I guess so but I'd have said it would be unlikely in the engine bay, mine is pure beige y'see!

1989 Audi 90 2.0 - slow as a week in jail I'd wager.

The turbo version of this engine was used in the Quatro. This one is...not turbo charged.

That's a shame.

A purple 1993 Golf 1.8?

That's about as desirable as a case of genital warts in my book.

Anyway, it doesn't look like the shill bidding paid off last time, so here it is again in all its' purple glory with what is possibly a dead chick on the bonnet.

That 505's up to £1300 with a week still to go! There was a mint Auto one on there last week which just managed to crack £300. In this case the top bidder is a newbie, I reckon its almost certainly getting shilled up.

Aye, but remember that this one is advertised as "Rear wheel drive", and being a manual box, will have driftards fighting over it. Double-edged sword... nice to see old clunkers like that making decent coin, shame it will get stuffed into some armco when physics > talent.

Should be virtually brand new then if the mileage, is actually correct (highly unlikely!!) because when i bought my AE86 back in '94 it had done 119,000 miles and was still minty fresh even at that mileage

Forget all that 4-leaf clover and leprechaun nonsense! An AE86 with a load of diggers in the background.... THIS IS IRELAND

 Too right.Although now thanks to the "downturn" and the "credit crunch" all these out-of-work builders'll be flogging their worldly possessions (including JCBs) on the bay in the very near future.

I wonder if they have a Morris Marina in their fleet. If so, they could be in the unique position of being able to offer a 'shag n drive' Marina-themed holiday.

'By eck its howard and Marina' etc.
