Field of Dreams - Camping weekend 8/9/10 September - Mrs 6C has been preparing home made cider @ 7.3% for the campers/non drivers!

Last week Bucketeer started on the palatial dunny, following calculation that hiring in a plastic box was going to make the average poo cost £8!

He made a good start and then unfortunately Buckteer lost a fight with a Blackthorn bush and had to retire hurt with a scratched eye. You know when things are not going well when he did not want to ride a moped in the field because he could not see too well.

The good news he is on the mend and hopes he will still have it done for the weekend.

(The fall back position is a caravan porter potty in a tent)

Gah! Hope he gets better soon, eye injuries are horrid.

I am working on Saturday or I may have come to help, I have been using a composting dunny for the last couple of weeks on some of my friends land in Devon.

Good luck for the weekend guys, Sunday is still a possibility though.

Sorry to hear that Bucketeer is injured in the line of shite.

Every cloud and all that - means I stand a slight chance of being as quick as him at an autotest.

You don't really have an excuse, you were going on about coming to a shitefest one year when I was last over, and here one is almost on your doorstep!

Sorry to hear about Alex, but I can confirm that myself and my good lady will be attending on the Friday evening until Saturday. We are going to Santa Pod on Friday, and I've managed to persuade her that spending the evening in the Field of Dreams is 'a good thing'.

Why is that man digging a hole with a teaspoon when there is a JCB right next to him?

Posted

Everything's grand with me. I've had an eyepatch and gallons of brandy during the break in construction proceedings, what more could anyone want? Also, I now have scarring on my left pupil to match the scarring on the right one that I achieved during a fight with a grinder and some guttering ten years ago, so my cool blurovision now makes me feel like I'm drunk even when I'm not.

Anyway, here's His Cylinderness playing diggers.

And here's where I got to before I had to pussy out and get my eyeball scraped, injected, prodded and patched.

Don't worry ablution fans, it will be finished for the weekend.

It's being asked whether there's a boys and girls toilet? Apparently "There'd better be"...

(We'll have the van, so not a problem really!)

He's just cleaning it out after I did all the hard work on my own!

I had my own vision problems, I must take up some glass cleaner for the digger!

Will Mrs Six-cylinder be attending, and if so can she extol the virtues of multiple car ownership to my wife?

All true. I shall pop over on Sunday.

Should I bring another 50cc bike with me for added wacky races?

Because you need a clean hole if you're going to fill with poo :)

Suitable magazines will be 1970s/80s/90s Car and Practical Motorist

Would love to attend but will be heading the other way to sw France later today. Will send photos of shite Alfas.

Glad to read that Bucketeer is shipshape again. Eye injuries are dreadful things.

I can't see shit, can you?

Really not possible for me I'm afraid - not this time....... little exile was asking about it - especially after seeing the digger! But we have a friends wedding here in Moules-Frite land.

Pity - as I've had a couple of weeks of 'can we take the camper - can we take the camper....... on and on'

Looking forward to the terrible reports that will surely be coming

I was hoping to attend but I'm helping my brother with decorating his new place this weekend.  With a baby imminent he's up against it time wise so best I do the brotherly thing and help out.

Painting isn't one of my favourite jobs so I'm hoping there's a bottle of something at the end of it!

So what time are the Friday people getting there? Whenever is fine for me but I'm debating whether I should book the day off and don't want to do that if there's not going to be anyone there until the evening.

I've got Friday booked off, aim to give Chris a bell mid morning and see where he wants me. Then swing by aylesbury tesco en route for supplies!

I have nothing planned for Friday 22nd.

Saturday 23rd I collect my Aprilia Habana 125cc from Strangeangle

Sunday 24th is BMC Day at Milton Keynes museum.

I can open the field up for camping, but I will not be about much.
