1998 MGF 1.8vvc BRG/black leather with hardtop

ThIs is a great little MGF VVC in a great colour and with loads of history. Mot to November. Drives well although there's a top end tappet noise that is from the VVC mechanism. Doesn't affect the performance- very quick! Toyo proxes all round, has a Scorpion stainless exhaust too that sounds brilliantly raspy, but not obtrusive. White hardtop included. The hood is excellent and has a glass heated rear window and a pop up wind deflector. If you check the mot history there are a few advisories but the vendor I bought it off (who'd owned it along with several other cars since 2004) said his tester was like that. If you do brake heavily there is a very slight imbalance, which passed the mot but is noted as an advisory. The body is very straight with the odd small dint and a bit of bubbling on the osf wing. 2x keys with dealer fob, original vehicle purchase invoice, and a whole load of history including nearly 2 grand for a replacement engine a couple of years ago with new cam belt, head gasket water pump, starter motor etc after the original motor snapped its cambelt. I've been quite critical- it's a great little car that has obviously been well looked after, on the button and ready to go. Shiters price £300 Tavistock Devon

Nb the pic on the truck isn't it broken down, it's when it was delivered when I'd bought it!

I can get more pics when I'm back off holiday.

I've also PM'd about this. HOT!

srsly? 300?

Its mid May, a two seater cabrio should be selling for a fuck-load more than that! MGFs literally cant get any cheaper.

Mid engined RWD fun for the price of a mediocre bicycle. If I didnt already have one I would be all over this.

I've read that advert for a £300 hardtopped MOTed MGF three times looking for the gigantic mechanical failure that explains the price.

Someone is hopefully snapping that up right now, that's a megabarg.

How much?

What it owes me which is £375

Agree with the above - this is far too cheap.  Especially since I'm shortly going to be attempting to sell an MGF sans hardtop, and will need to get more than that for it. :?

I TRIED EVER SO HARD TO BUY THIS- I pm'd the minute I saw it!

Between this and the Seat Ibiza, i'm missing out on all the mega barg weapons these days lols

Thanks, but with one Puma already I should spend only on that one really. Would have been interested if super cheap as a runabout come possible spares car (we'll make one good out of two one way or the other)

All insured now.

Are these made of unicorn droppings? Cheapest quote with NCB and a bulgarian wanderer on the policy is £1800!  Luckily it will be cancelled in the next week.

I was getting all excited about delivering this to the Moog as it'll be the first time in all of ever that I'll be in a floppytop out on the open road. Then I spotted that it has a hardtop. Oh well, I'll have to wait a bit longer to pop my floppy cherry.

HMC and HMC_jr2 Waved goodbye to bucketeer and the MGF this afternoon, no pics as HMC_jr2 was distracting me by trying to eat a pencil.

Car delivered safely to Accrington.

Bucketeer is a bit broken, but I think he is addicted.

It is one very quick car! Lovely sound as well.

Also found out about MG on track - they do track days so that will be great.

You'd better be fetching it tonight...I'll bring the SLK and we can see who gets the most bird crap on the upholstery whilst parked under the trees...
