So, here we go. I won this last weekend after splurging for 4 tickets at a massive £3 each. Only after I'd won did I fully realise both what I'd won and where it was. The current Mrs Spart has kindly offered to give me a lift in her Citroen C1, I've eaten a pie, so I'm good to go, wish me luck...

Whoa! I'm here. So, a lack of posts on the way down, (Chesterfield to London town), as the GF was asleep.

We found Robs place no problem and did the handover, Woollarding shot below...

Quality post collection Woollard there - full marks!

Now at a services on the way home, consuming Burger King's finest, which isn't very, if I'm honest!

The car drives fine, it still feels pretty taught and not at all like it's 100000 miles might suggest.

Well done that's a nice little motor for £12! Hope it gives you good service.

Glad you like it!

And glad it hasn't kettled on you, fingers crossed...

Sorry about the wipers. Noticed they don't park properly after my ham-fisted attempt at fixing them.

Another quality RobT Industries vehicle heading north with a satisfied customer.

Wow, we decided to drive back up the A1, big mistake. It was closed at the junction of the A607, so we got diverted about 50 miles out of our way. Anyhoo, I'm home now. Just a few jobs to do on it, sagging headlining, radio code needed, good polish, stuff like that. Maybe I'll get round to some of it this weekend...

Maybe.

As big shout out to Rob, top guy to deal with, he even left me 'tax to get home'.

Excellent roffleer, would gamble again. A+

Cheers spartacus, was nice to meet you and glad it got you home OK. Always a relief when a shiter posts up saying he made it home, the most I'd driven this one was 60 miles in one stint!

So, following the collection earlier this week of my roffle prize Rover I managed to find some time today to do a little fettling.

I have it a wash and polish and also did the linseed oil trick on the faded plastics, I don't know how well it shows on a computer screen, (I post on my phone), but in the flesh it's made a huge difference.

The radio needed a code, £8.00 off the internet and most annoyingly the clutch action was very sticky, making it almost impossibly to pull off, ooer missus, on some occasions. I freed the end of the cable from the gearbox end, held it up on the air and slowly dribbled some oil down it, result, smooth clutch action!

The headlining was hanging down in a Volvo stylee, so I took the courtesy light out, which is in the centre of the roof, then sprayed a full can of spray glue through the hole onto the hardboard part, when I'd recovered from the instant high I pressed the lining back up, it seems to have worked so far, time will tell.

Next up is a good clean inside, which may or may not get done tomorrow, depending on how extreme tonight's activities are...

Looks great! The clutch action did irritate me a bit, but glad it was an easy fix. Hope it serves you well!
