SF17 - Bubble Car Museum: insert photos/memories here

I forgot to say thank you TheMoog for organizing this for us.

Just out of curiosity though but did the museum say if there was any other available dates, maybe in May or end of June? Just in case there's another date which suits everyone which we haven't thought off yet?

I'm sticking with my original dates as it's my daughters birthday on the 15th, and she will want a party on that weekend. However should the 16th be chosen, I'll have to make Amy arrange the party for the weekend before. Open to trigs suggestion of an entirely different date too, I'll wait for the poll to be expended

Weekend before 2nd is a bank holiday and thought that most people wouldn't be able to do that.

i only asked about those two to be honest. We end up with a huge discussion otherwise with no real answer - I have managed to muddy the waters enough already :-)

Its always a nightmare picking dates for these things which everyones going to be happy with but I'm sure everyone appreciates what you've done so far, just a thought though but how about the 10-11th June? Would that work any better or should i just shut up and let you get on with it!

Don't think the museum could do that weekend. As we discovered last year, it's bleedin' impossible to avoid clashes. I'm sure everyone would have wanted you there Trig. Sometimes these things happen. Obviously, I'd be gutted to miss a Shitefest, majorly so, but there simply aren't enough weekends in the year for all the shows we want to do. If the poll prefers the first weekend, then I'll accept my fate. I reserve the right to grumble about it though. ;)

And yes, thanks Moog. Glad someone picked up the ball!

I won't vote yet as tbh I can do any weekend, dad's free to have eva and if amys working our friend can have Charlie. So I'll just go with whatever is chosen, and whoever out of dw or trig cant come we can have face masks for hilarious* photo ops. Biggest mass woollard by one person?

Quick update

- not allowed to sleep in cars.

-No hard standing available

-any electric hookups need to be prepaid as they need to be booked.

I guess that rules out the big yellow bus.

Oh dear. Is laying down in a car a particularly anti-social thing to do or something?

If they allow campervans, what do we need to do to call our cars "campers" - throw an old duvet in the back?

Did think it might pose a challenge as most people seem to become car snail like animals for the weekend.

Do we go ahead or should we look for somewhere else?

I normally have a blow up mattress and duvet, but Mr Fowler had a complete sideboard a couple of years back.

Car camping is a bit of a make or break thing for me tbh, and if they don't allow that what chance do we have of setting their field on fire?

I think being a commercial campsite it might be more tightly controlled than previous event.

So do I just knock this on the head as a non viable option and send Bub out to find a field by a pub?
