I'm off uuup north (well, north ish!) to collect the car of my dreams... more instalments as the journey continues but guessed may be made now as to what I getting (clues will be given later)

That's an odd clue.

Virgin is the same in most nearby languages - well it's Virgen in Spanish. And Virgen, Austria is definitely not Eastern European. so you must be buying a Steyr! Looking forward to seeing this!

Well, I made it! 250 miles in 5 hours in THIS..... Obligatory garage shot follows:

 

 

I have to say it performed perfectly! Those of you who live in Yorkshire/Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire will attest to the terrible weather this afternoon and evening. That little Daf averaged over 50 mph between leaving Skipton at 3:30 & arriving in Barnet at 8:30 and often went over 75! Not bad for a 43 year old car with a 750cc engine. 

 

I should apologise for my absence from Autoshite recently, but I am now partially retired I hope to be spending more time with crap cars and have bought this as an early Christmas present to myself for working  26 years at various airports.....
