Name that part! Grille edition

I have been sorting through some of the parts that came with the garage (thread got deleted) and have started identifying them ready to sell.  I've identified a good few but I will put all the pics up.   I thought some on here might get a kick from this so here you go!

Upside down pics with no reference to scale best for saturday afternoon spotting fun.

It's a quiz, you don't want it too easy!

I should mention, the MG 1300 wasn't my first thought for #4, this was.  Whenever I see a Magenta kit car I always feel sorry for them.

Although I could only put a name to a couple of the grilles, I "recognized" all of them. I'm weird, me.

My punt (and I've not cheated as I would normally do)

1. Anglia (late one with separate sidelights and indicators)

2. Mini Clubman

3. Mk 2 Cortina

4. Dont know. Left field suggestion. Standard Vanguard Sportsman. 1957

5. Mercedes. Late 80s 190???

6. Ford Prefect

7. Mini

8. Renault 4

9. Mk 2 Consul

10. Hillman Minx (Arrow type)

11. Austin/Morris 1300

12. Hunter (after 1971, up to 75)

13. Viva. Upmarket version. SL?

14. Mk 3 Zodiac

Fascinating fact

Paykan means Arrow in Iranian...so that is why the Hunter was called the Paykan. A friend who happens to be Iranian told me that so it must be true

Good quiz. Do another one.

4 isn't a Jag XJ6 series 2, is it?

Aye, good game. We love a quiz on here (well some of us do, anyway)

Anglia 105e one is 1965> 1966

My 1967 Anglia didn't have the sidelights in the grille, they were incorporated into the headlights a la Mini, leaving just the orange indicator to accommodate within the grille.  I never quite understood why Ford changed the layout not once but twice, for no visible reason.

First type had clear lenses with a combined sidelight/indicator behind; second type was as shown with two whole light units, the indicator now being orange; third was as mine.

How did I miss this yesterday?

Agree with the consensus on most, and Vulg is spot on with the Magenta/ MG 1100, you can see the 2 holes at the bottom where the Octagon plinth mounts.

My only issue is with the Merc grille, I think it's a bit older than others seem to, probably W115 or New Generation Stroke 8 depending on where you were born.

5's not a 190 grille, they aren't straight. It's more likely a W123.
