Van wanted

In what was probably a rash move, I sold my funky little Corsa Combo van tonight as the MOT had gone. In a perfectly rational way of thinking, I now want another van and another Combo 1.7 diesel would be most welcome, but with a bit of MOT on it.

Other things considered, I have a huge* budget of about £400, so I'm clearly going to get a one owner, unabused minter for that sort of money. Or perhaps not.

*Obvs no Escorts or Ivecos.

Probably a bit small, soz. Needs (ideally) to be somewhere from Combo to SWB Transit in size. Thanks though.

It might change my mind about euthanasia, but that's about all.

Do you have anything veg friendly to swap with my Caddy? Bear in mind it's in showroom* condition.

It needs a brake servo, track rods, handbrake cable, a deep clean, but it has MOT til April.

I haven't soz, Len. Need to do something about that, the odd time I ride to work Costco is winking at me on the way home.

There's only one option.  Plenty of room, plus it's low mileage and has had an easy life.  I know you said no Ivecos but this might just change your mind.

Now now, that's not the only option, no need to be so pessimistic.  Ebay at the moment is literally bursting at the seams with bargainacious vans that would be eminently suitable for Billy's needs.  Here are just a few:

Haha, advert for the last one (silver) says 'if you don't know much about these vans they are bomb proof' He just need to add 'but if you do know a lot about vans, they're fucking awful'

/\ Possibly the only time the words "quick" and "Citroën Dispatch 1.9 diesel" have been used in the same post.

Right, I've sort of run out of money now, so sadly a van purchase will have to be shelved until next year. It won't be an Escort, I honestly couldn't own one of them to keep or drive for a long time, I'd just as soon remove my underpants with a canon.

I would swap this Astra van for some of your fine* modern shit if you need a van - know you said it's a bit small but surely better than nothing

I do fancy a berlingo for MTB duties. You can easily get 2 bikes in with the front wheel off. However to justify a van I'd ideally want enough space for the motorbike, which rules the blingo out. Would a motorbike fit in a dispatch?

Tbh, it's not really much bigger than my 307 with the seats down, and the 'van' bit can be a pain at times, so ideally IO want Combo size up. What do you value it at though please, and what are the details on it? TIA M8.

It's done about 150k miles, 1.7 DTI on an 03 plate. Needs a windscreen for MOT but I guess it could crack on your way there if you have insurance. Doubt it needs much else but it's not in until Monday

Need about £150 for it which is negotiable and open to xbawx, raer fivers etc

I haven't got screen cover (sadly) I take it the test has expired? Cheers

Test has expired yeah - if we were doing some kind of vehicular swap I could just drive it to you on my trade plates though

Bit of a squeeze but does go in with the seats still in.

That's a VFR750 so not a small bike.
