This is such a good idea but it's so far from me. Would love if a more centrally located track did this.

I've just booked for tomorrow evenings session, myself, @DVee8 and DVee8jnr will share the driving, weather forecast is good so will stick the track tyres on

another great night at the track was had by all, the mx5 behaved impeccably and a ton of laps were completed in full on, tyre squealing glory ! 

@DVee8jnr did an excellent job piloting the mazda, it’s hard to believe he only passed his test a year ago !

finally got the vidos loaded from monday

first off, here's @DVee8 doing battle with heavy (and quick) traffic

those two caterham type kit cars may have mx5 engines but one is turbo'd and the other is supercharged - proper quick and look like a whole lot of fun

but 'driver of the day' goes to DVee8Jnr who was really getting into his driving - looking back at the footage, he is taking in what we are talking about and his driving and confidence is improving with every lap. even when he loses the back end, he instinctively wrestles the car back into line - I grab at the wheel but he's already got it sorted.

and (although I haven't timed it) I reckon he's lapping faster than his old man

and I finally got to have a go  

 

 

by this time, the track was virtually empty and I got 'into the zone' 

fooking good fun !  

then I stuck "Dark Side of the Moon" on and drove home, roof down all the way, time to chill

@DVee8 and son will be joining me to mercilessly thrash the mx5 again, several of the kit car lads will also be in attendance

I ha e visions of slightly curly sandwiches, slightly out of date crisps and a bottle of panda pop.

i suspect it will be pretty basic, maybe a burger and chips, the sort of thing they generally knock out from the on site cafe. still, if it’s free, i have been described as a human dustbin more than once

looks like they have only sold 18 places - going to be plenty of track time available for everyone  

weather forecast is rain so i’m taking the mx5, will still be plenty of fun even with the roof up

I am planning to enter the Autotest in Errol, probably in an i3.  My nephews are up so they will coming with me.
