Good points

smart cream leather interior

4 good tyres

not as slow as you think

Handles lovely- 2 turns lock to lock, brilliant in the bends.

2 keys:)

2012 timing belt reciept circa 67k- its due by time now but not by miles

 

Bad points

Front suspension has plenty bangs and clunks-double wishbones, and need replacing.

Front wheelbearing on way out- can hear it most of the time above 30mph.

missing a lower dash panel on drivers side, and binnacle for rev counter. rev counter present and works.

thermostat failed open-it heats up ok stationary and fan kicks in.

rear heated screen doesnt work.

Has been welded at rear of one sill, some grot at drivers front.

 

seems to do 34mpg if gentle, 31 if GLF. you can guess what I do.

 

Also need to keep an eye on oil level- all Twinsparks use some, and this one has a weep from cam cover and likely the sump.

 

incase you cant tell I'vee bought it then hammered it having done nowt much to it (bar new brake pipe).

 

it'll need work for next MOT no doubt but has done me ok over the last 2 months and 4k.
