Ha ha nearly so stage one complete Southampton achieved now off to fratton I could have gone direct to my destination from here but going the longer route saved me £22 so it is the long way round for me

I always thought train tickets were for any permitted route which was usually just not London.... This idea of a long way round is new!

 

Unless doobie has split the tickets in which case he would have the visit the correct stations.

Is your travelling companion a used piece of bodywork, then? I know tat collections are often done on a wing and a prayer, but not usually with an actual wing.  Good work.

Southwest trains do a £15 return to anywhere off peak ticket the direct route is with another company hence the long way round as I can only use their train it is still one ticket though

Are you trying to corner the market in PTs in the south east Doobie? Nice pla8 m8 though - also +3 points for taking an actual wing on the train with you. Did you have to pay for a seat for it though?

 

Also, Fratton always looks like that - its not to stop undesirables getting off, its to stop them getting on - the council have decided its easier to keep them all in one place where they can be kept under close scrutiny, so the 5-0 patrol the platform ensuring no 'Pompey 4 Life' types are able to escape into the wild and potentially breed.

 

A bit like Japanese knotweed, if you suspect you might have an escaped Portsmouth chav on your property you need to inform the local council and they come and burn them with fire, then dig out the soil they had stepped on to a depth of 3 metres and fire it into the sun. Home has been achieved..... picking up a red wing tomorrow. The inside of this one is identical to the other one so that will be black leather & suede heated seats, cruise blah blah the only difference is it is red and has a merc 2.2 crd under the bonnet.... even the rev counter red line is in the same place but the gaps between the 1,000s is bigger as its only 4,500.....

 Drives well but needs a front wheel bearing doing the same as the other one did..... I have one in stock and its about 2 hours work ....All in all I am pleased with my new toy as it means I will be able to keep the mileage and abuse on the other one to a minimum and use it as a weekend toy.....
