Not a classic? That doesn't sound right. Have you tried using RH Classic, that's who i was with.

I've been with RHS for years and I added it to the colts insurance until it ran out, they just added another £109 for every vehicle I wanted to add and they wanted £700 for six vehicles with 4k miles spread between the lot,

That doesn't sound good value to me as I can insure them all separate for a similar price, that way I could drive each one for 4k,

I'm not sure how some members here get such a good price especially as we are in a low priced postcode area.

How much is it to take out a new classic policy on the car? I'd be surprised if it's any more than £100, the only downside is that you technically shouldn't use it for commuting to work.

My classic policy allows business use - but subject to mileage limit and the proviso I have another car for a daily. So I could do the occasional commute (irrelevant as I work from home)

It's £109 on its own with RH but since I've decided to sell it I just wanted a multicar so I can add or remove as required instead of cancelling,

I don't commute as I live where I work just hop over garden fence and I'm on the clock. Thats just now anyway as that's where the shitty news comes in.

While RobT could get the 22 year old Corsa I bought off him insured for £80 on a classic policy I couldn't get anywhere near that even with a very restrictive policy.  There'll be some magical combination that makes classic insurance easy for some people and not for others so I'm not at all surprised to hear garbaldy is having difficulties on that front.

Hope the bad news resolves for you, sounds unpleasant and doomy.

It amazing just how big the boot is as that's a whole Mondeo estate interior in there.

That was a great car, i hope someone on here can take it on and give it the love it deserves.

You can have it back again wink wink.

As soon as I need a decent car there'll be nothing but crap on offer, there's been so much cracking stuff up just lately when I don't need it and can't take it on, this included.

Yes it is but I didn't buy it to profit so don't expect to.

I am still driving this around with no problems and have managed to resist shoehorning a bigger heart into it.

If I was to release this into the wild what should I be pricing it at ?

a new pic.

It's great to still see the Sierra about, i agree with WW, £1500 wouldn't be unreasonable at the moment for it.

Is that Vanmans (sp?) old Colt?

If our washing line was across the drive, I wouldn't be able to resist pretending to be Jack Carter being chased by a 3 door Jag.post-17414-0-61614000-1466591880_thumb.jpeg

Although it would have been way more fun with some power to get the back end out, but the old girl managed 10 tests without a fault and gained the nickname the couch.

Still for sale too

I'm confused. Are you looking for £800 or £1500?

Posted

I'm pretty sure 800 is Shiter's price, 1500 is ebay mong price.

Get a MK1 then.

IMHO there's a world of difference from the MK1 to the MK3. Prices are still pretty favourable atm. In fact, I'm quietly confident they're cheaper looking at recent sales.

Still... it's all irrelevant when the bank says no.

After ages of lurking, I had to reset my password to get back on here...

Appealingly local and appealingly priced.
