The thing is regards van I do a lot of helping my best friend out with auctions etc. We had a fair bit on this week too. Wont see that in the fiesta! That van is bloody cheap and if my leg behaves I will have another. That escort took a bloody kicking and saved us. It was a reliable and economical old girl

I think it has electric power steering,

It needs two tyres a wishbone bush and the cam chain cover gasket sorting, I am going to order the bits tonight and get them fitted, if all is well with it you can have it for the price of the tyres.

Same here, just a shame I'm so far away - hope it all goes well and we can get you back up and running this week. God bless everyone on here.

Yup sure do and if you already have tyres that fit then it can be free, I only have 13in tyres lying around.

I have watched this story unfold with horror, but had nothing to add to the sympathy already expressed by others.

Now we have turned to practical matters, maybe I can help. As some will know, Mrs Cyl has a Citroen C15 van which is lightly used. I have spoken to her and if bub2006 wants to borrow it for a couple of weeks or so while longer term arrangements are made, that would not be a problem.

Mrs Cyl says don’t forget to address him by his name “Vin de Pommeâ€!

The C15 is in Buckingham, it is MOTed, taxed and in good running order, but while I have it insured it would be difficult to add anybody else to my insurance. If bub2006 would like to make his own arrangements, third party is fine as the van is low value.

I can help deliver it, but would need a lift back to Buckingham.

I'm a bit far away to do anything, but most of bub's tools will still be in the Escort or at the site. How about a collection party ? Or is that not practical. And it just came to me that Escort will be recovered to somewhere so assume staff there will have the tools carefully stored in their toolboxes. :?

That's a good point. so how much did all those top of the range Snap-On tools cost Bub? (Cough cough ahem...)

Posted

All tool box's where smashed up and bent. Collected as much as I can but probably lost 90%

I can chuck a cock n hen into the pot Bub - just let me know when/where to send it

Bub - essy vans are far more sought after than you think.

That's a great offer and would help me out no end but I don't want to remove insurance from van as I'm unsure how that would pan out and cant afford another policy. Thanks though

Make some enquires and see what they say or can you drive it third party from your existing insurance?

Anyway the C15 is not going away, so if you change your mind just PM me.

Have spanners (if no talent) & will travel. Surely it's not beyond a forum full of Shiters to get a £25 Fiesta through an MOT??

If Six-cylinder takes the Pomme-de-terre Van up to darkest Derbyshire , I'm more than happy to whizz up and bring him back to the civilised Northern Home Counties.

Im more than happy to wang some electronic money in his direction however I truly think that the best way to help would be to hold an exorcism to help ward off the evil spirits that are plaguing his life.

Would it be easier to chuck it in for an MOT to find out exactly what it needs then fix the failure sheet. I am 100 miles from derby, but will fill the voyager up with tools and welder and fix what is wrong once we know exactly what is required to get the fezza legal. Enough good hearted people on here have offered to donate cash to this, so could this pay for the MOT?
