MG ZR Facelift 105 For Sale! £200, needs wheel bearings and stuff..

MOT till July 27th, and I was using this daily.  It's got about 80K

The Saab valve has packed in, so the heater only works if you thrash if.  Part of about £50 with the hoses but plenty of folk have repaired them with a 5p or the earlier hoses.  I've been too idle.

The wheel bearing on the front passenger side is rumbling and has play, I was going to source a used hub and replace the lot.

The passenger leccy window doesn't work, not investigated that yet.

The brake discs needs replacing, to be fair, I might do this tonight as the discs are in the boot.

Not fully getting the stuff about the heater - I am quite new to Autoshite so that could be part of it.

the SAAB valve basically lets water get to the engine quicker to get the stat up to heat.. There's details of how to fix them on the various MG forums, but I'd buy a new hose and valve and swap the lot out.

I'm in Stamford, the car is in Little Bytham, NG33, outside a workshop unit I rent.

Wow, that is one HOT* little car ! Does the MG badge make it eligible for classic insurance ?

*awaits the inevitable K-series jokes

£200 for a almost brand new car. 54plate that is new.

So that will £200 a month?

Used cars worth so little.

Used Project Drive Rovers are worth so little.  If that was a 54-plate Audi A3 you could add another 0 onto the price.

Yep, priced at what I feel it's worth... Do a buy ;).

I could fix it. But I've so much else on.

Have you some interior pics?  Always liked the 25/200 but never set foot in one.  I'm a blobby six footer - will I fit into it?

I am 6'1 of powerfully built company director.

Plenty of leg room in the 25 I had as a courtesy car the other year.  Having a fat arse, I was never truly comfortable in the sporty ZR seats, as I seemed to be perched on the sides, rather than snugly in the seat.

I'd try before you buy... but make no mistake, ZRs are fun.

Bargain. I would be all over this like a tramp on chips if I wasn't trying to reduce the amount of crap I own.

That does look great value and I have always liked them since driving my friends which I should have bought as it was a fully sorted car.

My excuse is I have bought a green one, I collect it Thursday!

I'll try and get a few, the drivers seat has seen better days, which is standard on these.

The steering wheel adjusts, I'm pretty tiny, but a mate of mine who's a stout 6 foot managed OK once he'd moved the steering wheel up and the seat back.

Its sat outside the Bythams Business Center/Auction house and sparks near the railway bridge if you want a nose.

I had a girl ask me if I needed any parts on one earlier this week, she's pulling both hub carriers with bearings and hubs and the SAAB valve and pipework for me for an additional £50.

Either the price goes up and I fix, or I keep using it if it doesn't go before then :), it's too good a car to be sat around really.

Because you're scared of all the flange it will attract?

Mate, you'd not believe how many teenage girls have hurled themselves at me down at Macdonalds.

She's just a mate, I can hook you up if you like though?  LOL.

Like this a lot and not that far from me either......... But too many cars and not enough money. So far this year instead of buying fewer cars l already managed to squire an MX5, a Rover Streetwise and a Jaguar S type. But this does look good...

I always thought it was odd that facelift 25s had colour coded fog light surrounds but ZRs didn't, especially since MG Rover group seemed to think of Rover as the red headed stepchild in the later years.

For the record I'm 6'1 and 16 stone and fit in one of these easy. Cheap car this!!
