After a jolly day out yesterday in leather-lined, V6-powered, slightly unreliable luxury, this is the sort of thing I've been looking at since...

Apparently, my liking for six-pot automatic barges has not been diminished since the passing of the 300E.  Dammit  :)

Wow, who owns the 605 V6?  Would love one, see how it compares to the Safrane V6.

And I'll collect from the port in the XM :)

I suspect your real price in sausages and Marmite would be too high!

if you have to ask, you can't afford it.

Or something.

For my tuppence-worth, I like 605's, and would have one over an XM.

There, I've said it.

(Unless the XM was an estate.)

607's appear to be worth the best part of fuck-all too....

On Autotrader they've got a couple for just under a bag.

That's because Posh Ohs are betterer than Shitrunses.

Still shite, mind.

Let us take the 605 story backwards for no reason whatsoever.

Sunday was the first East Coast Retros run of the year so I took the 605; it's the only vaguely aged thing I have in my fleet. The final meeting point at the Bungalow Diner in Marks Tey was 20 minutes from the rural dealer which supplied it new in 1995.

As a bonus, I found a 106 on the forecourt that had period dealer plates on it. DMB will get the job in due course.

Joshingly mentioned the Montpellier 605 to Domestic Management.  The response was not in the negative.  We may be on to something here...

Aaaand this is why I can't be arsed.

But the rest of the thread - and the jolly day out that informed it - is why you CAN...
