A keg of beer? Now that's an idea, and the local Macro stock some good brands that's bloody tempting! Adding that weight would do great for the fuel though...

Taking a in-car cool box, so will be stocking up on can's of Bombardier when I cross the border (Hard to get in Aberdeen) and will hopefully be rather chilled by the time I reach camp!

I'm sure some of you's may have seen, I've started a thread for a Northern Convoy down if anyone is interested.

True that, admitting was only wanting can's of it as seen it for sale when stopped at shop's in England and pipped my interest.

Looks like a trip to Macro to stock up on bottles is in order! (Also means will spend even longer getting chilled!)

Aldi have a great supply of bottled ales at Â£1.25 a pint.
I recommend Thwaite's Wainwright, Jenning's Cocker Hoop, and Wadworth 6X.

Hmm... I'm not a mad fan of the choo-choos, I was also wondering if anyone else felt the same. I'd be more than happy to be standing in a field making poor jokes about the array of shite with a few similarly socially awkward blokes from the internet. If anyone else feels the same, shout up; I'd be pleased to supply tepid tea in plastic beakers.

I'd happily go along to see some trains rather than be Billy-no-mates in a field, and I'd have a good day. But if there's a few others who'd be just as happy supping a brew and chatting shite on a field, then I'm there.

If there are a few stragglers rolling up on the Saturday daytime, then that's cool too.

I'm definitely not going to play trains - my less than executive bank balance precludes such extravagances.

I was planning to sit and relax in the field talking to animals and watching clouds during that day but if other people are going to be there then I can change my plans to include human interaction and wearing pants.

My plan was to turn up at some point on Saturday, wander into the field and stand there looking frightened and awkward with a "HALP ME" facial expression until I recognised someone - probably Supernaut and 17-Coffee as it should be easy to spot/hear a claggy XUD and an AMG-impersonating LS400.

Such is my socialising expertise.

I'll buy ale though, so don't worry any fellow cider h8rs! (I'd love to try some homebrew cider though, just incase I like it...)

If Amy can get off work on Friday I might be tempted to come and camp, then peel off a bit earlier to get Eva/meet dad before the train then see the trainers at chinnor... Damn, so much to plan, so little arse to do it! Need to make some money too, at this rate I won't even be able to buy any cabbage juice!

I'm very excited. Not a bad thing to have the activities split into two groups - like the two separate convoys we had last year. Then we can exchange stories in the evening.
