Local area invaded by blokes with shitty old cars. They are now refusing to move stating that they have found their spiritual home and see no reason to go anywhere else. They have also been spotted handing out Autoshite stickers to passers by.

The Buckingham Advertiser wouldn't even notice as they don't have an office in Buckingham and don't go out looking for stories but rely on residents giving them news to print (local journalism at its finest). That headline would make a welcome change from blaming the students of our university for everything though.

I like the hubcaps idea, if I see any on the road side in the next few days I will pick them up and stick a sign on them. To preserve my dignity and to save me having to explain to countless unimpressed people what is "Autoshite" I am simply going to stick up a few signs with "AS" printed on them.

I'll be driving up Saturday morning, 130 miles for me in my Mondeo - so probably about 3 hours with some rest breaks ( ) - should arrive 10-11ish. Staying in Beaconsfield (airbnb) on the way back so I can make the most of the day.

 

Better hang a suit jacket in the back for the authentic 90's motorway look.

 

Hope I won't be billy no mates in the field (but actually, maybe that means I can have a quiet look round at some chod  )
