Is the steering wheel on the incorrect side? Difficult to tell...

Actually I think the image is reversed

Yes. Oddly, the image does seem to be flipped.

They don't often come along at this price any more. Sills looks ok, but from the price and state of the A panel I bet it needs a new chassis.

It was me, but its in that there London and I'm... Sort of not.

Hmmmm...not ideal for the daily commute but would look great next to the cx..

NOT HELPING!

I can only assume its long since sold as MOTd 2cvs stopped being this price waaay back when. Presumable the chassis is a collander but even is cheap. Are you tempted mr cyl?

The ad posted date is 30th Dec 2015.

I am in negotiations to change my modern with Mrs Cyl at the moment, bringing a wreck home wouldn't help!

When the chassis is really fucked they start to appear really low at the front as effectively the chassis aft of the a posts begins to cave in.

Unless you are very local you would have to secure that by electronic payment. With such a sparse advert I would be worried that it's a scam. The picture has a whiff of 'found image' about it.

You have to pay for adverts on that site, so unlikely. Three people are due to actually go and see the car today.

That's annoying- I live in SE13 but up in Scotland at the mo. Just got a text back- it's sold.

I was one of the three. We all turned up at 12 and it ended up as an auction. A good solid car with loads of history, it went for £900, still a bargain, to be honest I would've gone higher but one of the guys had got a single ticket from Northampton thinking he was the only one coming...

They go in one of two ways- one as above when the nose hits the deck, but also if the chassis goes a little further back then the car folds in the middle and the engine comes up to meet the bulkhead. In case one you get a widening on the gap between a panel and body, and in the other the gap narrows until that a panel piece starts bending. As looks likely here.

I've had three altogether, all in the late 80's/early 90's. Loved them. My first one was the best. Regularly did 200 mile journeys in it. Always felt fun to drive. I liked how the engine was at it's best when spinning fast and supposedly it's most economical. I used to surprise a lot of faster cars with good timing and gear changes which they didn't usually like much! The second one I bought didn't feel quite right so I had a closer look when i got it home and the chassis was bent. Bought a third one from a friend who was going travelling. I offered to buy it without even looking at it. She neglected to tell me her dad had bodged it full of filler but it drove well. I had every intention of transplanting the body from the second one onto the chassis of the third but never got round to it and was probably beyond my skill set anyway so bought a Fiesta instead. I sold the pair for £150 if I remember correctly which I of course now regret!

Thats a bit naughty of the seller messing about like that. I would of told him to stick his car, it's not very fair changing the price once you get there.

To be fair, she must have realised she'd pitched it too low, and it's a sellers' market at the moment.

It's still a bit naughty... should really have been sold to the first person to offer the asking price.
