Are you 15? If so I'm impressed with your interest in ancient chod. All the cars produced after your birth would be considered modern by the standards of Autoshite

Well actually I'm 14. Production started in 2001. I don't know how many people my ageare interested in classic cars but I love them! Yeah, I do consider anything after my birth as modern.

Geeeez.......I was on the downhill slope when MiniMort was created. I don't think there were any NEW cars when I happened.

Great to see some young enthusiasm on here, have you learned to weld yet ?

Found one, this was the start of something very big

Not that many new new cars in 1976, must have been too hot or something.

If I had to choose there's only one choice for me a Fiesta mk1

But seeing as I already own one, and beige at that, it would have to be a van in the same red or that dark blue ford used to do

That's nice to hear that your doing something about it. Everyone should be a classic car enthusiast! I'm glad there is such a kind community to discuss this with!

You could also have had the Citroen LNA and the Volvo 343/345

Also 1964. Bloody great year!

Sir. I have to agree with you there. Although it took me a couple of years to get into Autoshite. 1966 my first hire car.

MiniMort, welcome!  14?  I've got a grandson a year younger than you are!  Glad to see the next generation taking an interest!

New for 1957 was - me,

Riley 1.5 post-17481-0-81190200-1450816231_thumb.jpg

Jaguar XK 150 post-17481-0-42120900-1450816185_thumb.jpg

Jags after the '150 are all a bit meh (unless they are Daimlers) imho.

Riley 1.5 was what I drove to school on my 17th birthday, and everyday thereafter until the mot ran out. But they ain't very good so the Jag it is.

But not on wire wheels, no way......

^ That is fucking hideous.

I have to agree.  Says the resident American Auto lover.  I suppose everyone is allowed a mistake.
