This is definitely art. I love the long tracking shots - they set the tone. It is perfect golden age BBC. Modern documentaries are shit etc etc

So, did anyone track down any of the people featured?!

No but like I say I'd love to know who the fat rep in the Cavalier is. Where are you Mr Fat Rep?

The irony is if they'll all be driving diesels now if they are in the same job

Just sat and watched these again! the guy with the Maestro made me laugh, although i did really feel sorry for him being foisted with one of those piles of turd, my old man had one and it was a pile of crap, still at least he had such fripperies as a rear wiper instead of a blanking cap!

Does anyone know the song playing at the start of the one with the mk2 Fiesta XR2, its familiar but I cant think the name of it.

He replied! Fruitless exercise though... This is his response:

"HI,

No we've had no contact since the filming, Martin"

That's a bugger then.

Didn't he even know who the fat rep was?

As you can tell from his reply, he wasn't exactly forthcoming with the info. I've tried one more time this evening:

"Hi Martin ,

Many thanks for getting back to me! That's a shame you've lost contact with the people in the videos. Do you have any more details (or even any memories) on any of them? Fascinated to find out more about them!

Regards"

He'll probably tell me to FRO. Will update as and when.

Well, the reply was rather quick.

And disappointing.

This bloke clearly isn't interested. Proper shame, man.

"Sorry, it is so long ago, I feel very distant from all of this now.

Martin"

My response:

"Hi Martin,

Thanks anyway. A shame, but one of those things I guess.

All the best"

Surely some bugger knows at least one of the people filmed?

Their signatures are at the end. Can't make out whose who. I'd say the fat rep was from Barnsley by his accent

I've bought the BBC book for this.  It wasn't cheap mind.  I've not read it yet.

Aye, you'll have to fucking learn to, first.
