That's useful to know actually! Cheers. I'm behind schedule but not too bad so far. Just left Stoke on Trent.

Stoke, you say? Have you bought Tim's XM? :-D

Nope, my final rail destination today is Warrington.

It's automatic, black and Japanese.

First shite spot of the day, a very unique mk3 Astra.

Success! Seller is a top bloke, car is excellent. Sat nav pointed to Devon, 250 miles that way.

I'm now just past Birmingham and aside from wayward tracking its superb, quick and comfortable.

Service station car park highlights one thing, I'm surprised how long it is.

Stop sniggering at the back.

Hope you have a safe one back, that looks great, and IIRC on a J that must be a mega early one. Havent these got a digital dash?

Good to see it's going well Phil, nice to meet you, hope it gets some proper use now!!

I'm sure it'll do you good, these Honda engines rarely go wrong.

I live within spitting distance of the old savoy honda garage in Warrington.

Home! Cracking car and it even almost fits on my driveway.

I'll do a proper writeup when I have time but right now my bed is calling.

I'll get a night dash pic when I'm back off my travels as I'm flat out until then.

I'm having an unusual issue with this one at the moment...insurance.  I'm getting unusually high quotes (best so far is £417 for the year).  I've 12 years NCD on the Volvo, last time I needed a new  policy I went to Adrian Flux and they did me a year's limited mileage on the Escort for £89!  They then didn't charge much to change it to the Rover 220 and did the transfer to my new address for free.  They couldn't do better than £430 on this one.

I'll try some more classic insurers in the mean time but I don't really understand it.  Shame, it's stuck on the driveway and I was hoping to use it for a long drive on Thursday but it looks like it'll be sat there for a while yet.
