Obviously I can't drive both

Sadly the tow bar on the bus is in use towing the genny. No A frame shenanigans, I'm afraid. No biggie, it'll be my transport darn sarf in just over a week.

Skizzer, I might want to pop over to yours soon to get photos with your 16. Playtime would ensue, I'm sure.

Station, it was up on the bay for 1800. As it was an autoshiter selling it, that's exactly what I paid. No haggling as I was reassured it was a good 'un given the owner. Given the mechanical graft j-j had put into it, with photos to prove the work, it was damn good value.

It's not perfect by any means. The door bottoms and boot lip are lightly crusty and the paint is like, well, 30 year old metallic paint but it's perfect patina for that 90's art teacher look.

I reckon the Cit will struggle uphill towing the bus but downhill will be much more fun*

There are only a few things that cause me to me spaff my dentures through my actual chappie.   This is one of them.

Bloody lovely.

Love the interior of these but, you have to have the later mk2 mirrors! I loved my late one just for those mirrors, single wiper and little switch to raise and lower instead of archaic lever! :)

Well bought, jealous (at least yours runs :(  ).

To think that barely 18 months ago, FPB7 had to borrow the wife's Panda (not a euphemism) to get about in. Now he has 3 mighty chariots of chod.

We can all learn from his fine example.

Obviously I can't drive both so the Citroen is being stored at chez 320touring until next weekend when another driver will come on up to take over pink bus driving duties. Then the long, wafty journey back south will continue and tales will be told fully.

Alternatively you can just bring it up to my place which is a stones throw from that there bridge and swap it with my Streetwise which is of course is a proper British craftsman build machine and therefore infinitely superior to that foreign rubbish*

I believe the expression is well-jell or something like that

^ It's a CX.  It runs on a varying mixture of Chanel No5 and Beaujolais Nouveau...

I was expecting a diesel omega estate.

Fabulous car. In the late 70's my mate's parents had on eof the very first ones - on a P plate.

I have now driven this. It is indeed very wafty!

Well bought! GRACE JONES APPROVES.

I would totally pull up to that bumper and be a slave to the vie en rose gold.

There's only one CX colour scheme as good as black-over-black leather, and that's JRG with Caramac velour.

Yummy.

Brilliant, I'm well up for that.  The R16 is currently out of MOT but you've now motivated me to get that sorted in the next couple of weeks.  (Mind you, we could possibly still get it out for photos on my, ahem, private test track.)

Oh yes running report. No issues so far apart from bloody awful weather on the motorway. Needles to say the rear screen is clear of water barring two small rivulets running down the centre of the glass. Self clearing window that works! Got out at Tebay for a coffee and a dump feeling as though I've just got in. Boy, it's comfy.

Next leg to commence shortly.
