Hey up all, the 405 of everlasting greatness is clearly not infinite after all...

Have been trying to find another one close by for reasonable spendage, but to no avail yet!

Any ideas involving diesel, longevity and no computers on board?

:)

Around about 500 clams would be nice also ;)

I didn't either - cheers hey!

Bub2006 has a car for sale that nearly completely meets all your requirements...

For £500 you are better sticking with stuff advertised on here.

Lots of clapped out shite for sale that probably won't get you home.

The Xsara sounds great, but I'm more after a diesel of around the same power as mine.  Concerto is utterly class, but dunno about petrol auto...

Am a fussy git.  Been spoilt by 405s.

What's wrong with the Peugeot apart from that it's a Peugeot?

Too much to sort out on my kinda budget!!

Will someone please buy the bloody xsara! Possibly more economical than an xud, cheaper tax group and a very good engine! Currently up for sale nearly a ton less than what the car, axle and clutch stands me at!

If I could find something interesting I would part with the Picasso ( now with freash MOT and droplinks). But god knows what I want to replace it with. Actually yes I do.. One of these...

New clutch cable, rear beam with arms and bushes. Mot January, two keys, 3 owners ac needs a regas and needs two abs sensors as I couldn't get the buggers out the old Axle

Read this anywhere else and I start to scratch my beard and say "chinny reckon".

Thank god for the honesty of AS.

£400ish sounds very fair indeed.

What's wrong with the 405? Parts for them are pennies and they're easy to work on. If it has a pompe Bosch a certain B. Shitpeas may be interested.

I forgot, I'm supposed to be selling the w202 aren't I?

It still needs the air in the fuel lines sorted, but seeing as I've done over 10k miles with it like that it can be ignored. Aircon has a leak somewhere, but the sunroof works and so do all the windows now (fixed drivers window at the weekend) ... Thats £500, not very computery and not a million miles from Nottingham either - see last post http://autoshite.com/topic/18152-merc-w202-c250td-estate-for-sale-see-page-4/page-4

My very clean Rover 214si with a good head gasket and loads of recent work done would fit the bill for this I reckon. Quite fun to drive as well and not bad on fuel.

Fantastically reliable it's done 320 miles with work today and lapped it up. I would probably let it go for 500 to clear space too...

seems as it's here I've said I'd take 350 on it. Abs sensors are 28 quid a pair minus a few pence. If interested I'm in Ripley Derbyshire.
