babydriver Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 A young lads asked me to produce these on clear vinyl so he can stick them on his brake lights.
dugong Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 What? Four of those are utter gibberish. Simon Say's? What a moron. Why is 'min' capitalised? John F 1
jonny69 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Why have you put an apostrophe in Simon Says and not one in lad's? michael1703 and KruJoe 2
Station Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 If you are a printer or work with words, you really should learn correct use of the apostrophe! Squire_Dawson 1
babydriver Posted May 29, 2015 Author Posted May 29, 2015 I print what I am given, that is why I am not called a proof reader, Cooper is the persons Sir name I think. Thanks for the support people, Makes it all the more worth while doing a post. cros, UltraWomble, Vince70 and 1 other 4
oldcars Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Should 'Coopers' be 'Coppers'???Maybe he is a fan of Aussie lager?
Asimo Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Nothing would surprise me: there is a Golf near here that has the large, pink, text " vag stance " along the base of the windscreen........
Uncle Jimmy Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 They appear to be the utterances of some ignoble cretin. I'm sure it's a trend that will take off. Squire_Dawson 1
Uncle Jimmy Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 The only sticker I'll allow on my machinery. trigger, eddyramrod, stephen01 and 1 other 4
stephen01 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I removed the dealer sticker on the nissan while taking to the chap who sold me the car
UltraWomble Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I removed the dealer sticker on the nissan while taking to the chap who sold me the car And in 20 years you will be saying - damn I wish I had kept the original dealer sticker in the back window now.... But yeah, I know what you mean, I pull all my dealer stickers off and bin them. Wifes car has nothing on it at all, mine is plastered with Autoshite ones, but generally I dont put stuff on cars like that. My trailer on the other hand is caked rotten as is my roll top. stephen01 and mat_the_cat 2
RRT22R Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Nothing would surprise me: there is a Golf near here that has the large, pink, text " vag stance " along the base of the windscreen........ As in vagina?
twitcherman Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Nothing would surprise me: there is a Golf near here that has the large, pink, text " vag stance " along the base of the windscreen........ Surely that's misspelled? Should be "stank".
Stanky Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I quite like stickers, but hadn't considered sticking them over brake lights, or other lights for that matter. Each to their own though. Did the buyer specify the words he wanted? Will he rotate them or stick them all on at once?
eddyramrod Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Sadly, I suspect the answer to the original question is "Yes," and the Invasion Of The Superfluous Apostrophes will continue unchecked.
Junkman Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Two minutes.Just two minutes. For two minutes in my life, I'd like to be daft enough to want to stick some stickers with incomprehensible gibberish on them onto my brake lights.Just to see what this feels like.I mean, it must physically hurt, mustn't it? Skizzer, fred, UltraWomble and 4 others 7
UltraWomble Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I was sat behind a C1 on the way home this morning ( yes it was still just about this morning, not yesterday morning) with a sticker that almost totally covered the 3rd brake light, but had the informative cut out that lit up to display "C1".Which I thought was very useful indeed.I had been wondering in my sleep deprived state what the car with the C1 badge on the right hand side of the boot could possibly be, but of course when he braked my suspicions were confirmed. Split_Pin Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Talking of sticky things, I'd like some of those shut-in-the-door fingers that you used to see. oldcars, michael1703, Junkman and 2 others 5
Split_Pin Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Sorry, that should be thing's, Id, and fingers' Rusty_Rocket 1
Dippy Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 I think stickers are the way to go as most of today's yoof wouldn't know what to do with a screwdriver or spanner so this is the only way they can pimp their ride. Vince70 1

I've seen one that says "VECTRA", though they had gone to the bother of pulling off the factory badge. It looked shit, too, I had a right good laugh at it. Saw a car the other day with three "Baby on Board" stickers in the back window, but no working brake lights. That just sums up folk round here though. Vince70 1
UltraWomble Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 . Saw a car the other day with three "Baby on Board" stickers in the back window, but no working brake lights. That just sums up folk round here though.Because EVERYONE thinks - Im just going to ram that car up the arse at this roundabout... But oh, whats that, they have a "Baby on board" so perhaps I wont after all. D Spares & Tyres, Vince70 and Uncle Jimmy 3
Uncle Jimmy Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 http://nerdapproved.com/approved-products/protect-your-car-door-with-magic-fingers/I do like the way they've chosen an R8 or similar tarts pram to model said novelty item on.
dollywobbler Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I hope there are cars at Shitefest with novelty fingers.
