so there's a Skoda size space in my life and a Skoda sized space on the insurance certificate which i'd like to fill with a Scimitar Reliant but can't get one fit. Will check if a 205 will fit.  How broken is broken as you seem to be not too far away for an afternoon's engine poking ?

I still have this, but it is being weighed in soon (unless anyone wants to take it away for free? I was about to fit the ignition module but realised it's the wrong one, so it's still a non-runner. I'll have to get a friend to A-frame it to the scrapyard in return for any money it makes anyway.)

Shame. Suffered death from the curse of the 205 for sale on Autoshite. Even with an auto box which makes it even shitter than normal, it seems like no 205 can sell here

I disagree, there's a fair bit of love for the 205 on here and some at least have changed hands.

The 205 is no worse to sell than an mg zr, twice I've nearly given away perfectly usable cars,

It was the VIC/V5/tax issues that killed this one, but it was a pretty rubbish one anyway so no great loss.
