Got the latest c15 through an MOT, it only failed on a couple of things.

The side lights were flashing when the brake pedal was pressed due to a single filament bulb jammed into the rear light cluster where a duel filament should have been. Easy fix.

Rear brake efficiency failed so it had new rear lines, cylinders and compensator.

After it passed its MOT the rusty doors were annoying me so ordered repair panels and welded them in.

Still to fill and paint them but they look good enough.

An interesting experiment is being conducted this week.

Launched both of these on Wednesday with the draw happening on Sunday so 5 days of ticket sales.

They cost £1k each to buy, the slk has one months MOT and is on for £3 a go.

The 106 has 11 months MOT and is on for the usual price of £20 a go.

The slk will definitely sell more tickets but will it make more money?

You need two diesel 106s to make a fair comparison.

This weekends purchases!

I bought the 306 from Uncle Fester on here and sent my mate to pick it up on his transporter, first impressions were the diesel engine sounded incredibly smooth and quiet. I took it for a spin and it seemed to be painfully slow and thought, wow this is totally fucked! Seemed difficult to get above 50mph on the unit road and presumed it must have been the reason it was being sold so cheap at £700, the previous owner before uncle fester also knew it was very sluggish and presumed it was because it was a non turbo diesel.

The actual issue was the spring clip on the throttle cable was mounted on the wrong side of the bracket so when pressing the pedal the whole outer cable was coming through and not allowing it to rev fully. We put the clip to the right position and now it flies! Can't beat a simple fix!

Also picked up this 4 tone Talbot Alpine Rapier, It's actually quite nice to drive and the engine isn't the tappy monstrosity people claim them to be.

You really are. Pretty decent way to make a living you have going on here in my eyes.

Used to have a Montesa just like that, fucked if I cam remember what became of it now. Could really use a tractor here at work. Would fully drive one around the ulez back at home too.

Dibs not driving that setup all the way home (easily achieved, not entering this one 😂)

Must admit if it was only 40 miles or so I'd probably have a go, thats just a couple of fuel ups and the tyres look much less square than on my old one.

We're offering free UK mainland delivery on everything these days but after tomorrow I'm having a well deserved break and rounding up all of this months shite and doing all of the draws tomorrow night.

This is tomorrow's line-up, I did another £3 a go shitter on the C15 which has sold over 2000 tickets, the Talbot and the TY175 haven't sold very well at all but I'll be glad to free up some space!

A couple of big French estates purchased yesterday.

The 505 has sat at Redcar speedway for a few years, someone sent me some pics and gave me the guys number so I made some arrangements and went down to Middlesbrough yesterday to collect.

He also has a 504 estate which featured on an episode of top gear so I bought that too and have to go back to collect it in a few weeks.

There's a diesel 309 next to it but I haven't bought that yet.

The 504 was in the Top Gear worst car in the history of the world special. Thankfully it was used as an example of how good Peugeots used to be.

Dunno who that was ;) very pleased to see you've bought it.  It was used for the last few years by the maintenance guy at the track as a tat hauler to shift bits and bobs around the stadium complex and rarely went on the road - as soon as I heard he was selling it I knew straight away who would like it!
