I really need to stop looking at cars.

Spotted this for sale in Cumbernauld, I went along for a look and it seemed in reasonably good condition especially compared to my other 305's so bought it and will be having it delivered this afternoon.

I'm thinking I'll stick this on Car and Classic at £2k and see if I get any bites!

I'm pretty sure it'll be too shite for a roffle on here.

Nice purchase 😉   I do like the early boxy L200s and I've only ever had petrol ones  which where pretty good.

Only 6 bolts to wip the rear tub off and welding will be a doodle then with full access, I've done a few pickups as no matter what people tell you it's not just navaras that snap their chassis for fun.

That's handy! I didn't much fancy trying to weld it from underneath.

looks like a proper barn find

I think it's been parked in there since 1986.

Make youtube video, instantly make purchase price back in ad revenue. Just make sure the title mentions "WILL IT RUN?" and year/duration of storage. Tour video followed by pressure washer clean up video triples its value.

I know, finally got above 1k subscribers but need some other bullshit to actually make money from it.

4k watch hours and I believe they’ve added some other shite recently too. I swear some people think you just need to upload a single video and money starts rolling in

I mean my comment was made tongue in cheek but that's definitely how you get attention once you've made it. If it wasn't taking 1-2 years of constant content creation to gain traction I would have started long ago.

Top shiting! Could be a gem, Raggy.

Wow.  That's got to be one of the rarest cars on AS, and an absolute dream find...looks like it's been stored pretty dry.

Wow.  Just wow.

So that's the car the Brat was based on then?  Have to admit to knowing next to nothing about Subarus beyond a friend having a 1.8DL estate on a D plate and thinking it was a fascinatingly odd car...plus it sounded absolutely epic.

One of them is definitely on my List, though I don't reckon it's ever one I'll tick off given they're basically extinct due to rust.

It's here!

Overall quite happy with it. A few areas need attention but it seems to be solid at first glance.

I've yet to get it on the ramp so we'll see how solid it is soon enough.

Some crusty bits at the end of the sills but other than that it's all pretty solid.
