I would buy even more heaps to annoy my old neighbours

Posted

I'd have bought a dozen mk1 Mexicos.

And apple shares.

I'd have spent less time (and money) chasing women and much more buying a BIG warehouse and filling it with all the crap I couldn't give away back in the day!

I'd also have taken much better care of myself and worn better shoes (wet decking and piss poor shoes... much future agro!).

I would keep my  240, 740, and 850 and YDS7.  I would not buy an MZ.

I would enjoy  knowing that just because people are family does not mean they can  treat you like shit and I would tell them to FRO.

Who knows who would have taken their place.

Maybe you should write to John Smith and tell him to lay off the sausages.

First day at school stand up to the nearest bully who tried to shove me around instead of putting up with it each and every day from the age of 4 to 15.

Oh and buy up lots of worthless land in city centres, turn them into car parks and just watch the money roll in,

Not go to uni or travelling, buy houses before the boom, sell them, buy one place outright with loads of land and barns. Fill barns with VW split screen campers and mk1/2 scrotes. Sell scrotes/campers when money needed.

I would have kept the house I took in a swop as part of a deal in the mid 80's.Value then $70,000. value now the thick end of $1,000,000. I didn't need the money then, but I do now !

I've ended up here.  So, while there are decisions and lost opportunities to regret, I wouldn't change a thing...  :)

Buy a Capri or Mini as one of my first cars, not waste money trying to turn a 1.0 litre AX into a GT and just buy a GT in the first place. Still, out of the 35 or so cars I've had only 2 were actual lemons so I don't think I've done too badly all things considered

This... all day long ...wouldn't change a thing...

A couple of missed opportunities like not buying a Chapron DS for 2 bags or an Espada for the same money. Mind you, both would either have bankrupted me or would have been left to rot on the drive so I guess things turned out for the best.

I'm with the leave it alone crowd, it's not like my life couldn't be better, it's just it could be very much worse.

I'm heartened that there doesn't seem much leaning towards wanting vast riches here.

I wouldn't buy a poxy Golf Mk4 ( new) just because the Renault's carb fell to bits.

Posted

I'd have taken GCSE physics instead of biology (don't ask), and wouldn't have sold the Renner 25 V-6 that I sold when I was 19 because my parents thought it was 'inappropriate'.  That second one still fecks me off.  It was a brilliant car.  I think they were jealous*.

To paraphrase Barbra Streisand "If we had the chance to do it all again, there are several people I'd do it all over" or something like that
