With baby at home etc I'm not sure if I'm gonna make it but if I can wangle a green card will it be ok if I just turn up on spec?

What vehicle to take ? Will prob be the 9-5 but I may bring the starlet , or dads bx or the van or the kit car or the Landy but probably the Saab 😄

Posted

TBH I don't really care about the vehicles people are bringing - for me it's the people who make the event. And you can talk equally well about old chod whether you turn up in a heap or something brand new!

Well, there will definitely be plenty of space on the Saturday night, especially if most folk are car-kipping. Mat can advise for the Friday. I can confirm that it is possible to do nearly-yours to mine in about six hours if traffic allows, including a 30-minute lunch halt (pretty much legal limit all the way). Llangollen is a couple of hours further north.

As I'm a total cock I've not made a final decision on weather I can make it, mainly because it'll cost a fortune in the Frontera, and partly because I'm a total cock. Is there a convoy from Yorkshire or it it everyone for themselves? (I'm bound to get lost)

I am in Derbyshire alabama shrimp. Not sure what way I'm heading but I would be interested in a convoy.

I'm definitely coming 6-7th. Need to put my name on the attendees list.

Loads of space in the car if anyone has car trouble. Coming from Wigan, Bolton, Manchester triangle 8)

on a friday do not use the m62 - woodhead more interesting

The car swapping was good fun last year but as DW said, the Autoshite hill climb course is quite tricky in bits so taking it easy is a good idea.

Unless it's Will's Samara as that only worked flat out. Anyone is free to have a go in Minicab Simulator if they wish...

After many Friday nights trying to get to the rugby in Lancashire I all too well know the perils of the M62.

Woodhead pass can be proper busy too so will have to see. Still interested in the convoy option even if it means going to Derbyshire first

I will be heading from North Yorkshire so I'm interested in joining any convoy going as well

There's a few of us meeting at Cherwell valley services on Friday lunchtime to head over.

Will be a sedateish drive though unless we work out why my cars making a new, loud clonking from the front end...

I'd best tap my step dad up for his gas cooker, kettle and tin mug, and get the spare duvets down from the loft. And refit the spare wheel and cage, take the wheels and Hoovers out the car and give it a tidy up!

I think it'll be fairly busy but we'll just have to pitch tents closer, or park in the car park if needed. I'm sure it'll be fine!!!

If I get the 760 diesel on the road on 1st June I'm gonna come along to this on the Saturday I think.

I am now slightly concerned the Umm may not be legal for this, I know it's 3 weeks away, but I am not having any joy in finding a track rod end. It appears it's unique to rhd Umms, so the Umm club in Portugal don't have them.

Next step is looking to get one modified to fit, wish me luck.

I wont be meeting you all at cherwell beko,it's only 15 mile or so more to get to the place we going!

Fair enough. Will probably see you ennroute then!

Can't really miss my car mate. Caution tape sunstrip, matt black wing and no bloody paint on the bonnet. Unless I've acquired a new one by then

...... I would be interested in a convoy......

I have a VW T2 and have consequently seen enough convoys to last me a lifetime.

Unintentional convoys?!

AA trucks often congregate in large troupes;)
