Guest Hooli Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Quite turn it over or it'll go flat at the bottom. Six-cylinder 1
Six-cylinder Posted January 26, 2018 Author Posted January 26, 2018 Today is a special day, as we collected the Gamma fully running from the garage that has put it back on the road for me. I noticed there was fir tree debris under the rear vision louver, so the garage owner decided to give it a wash if we promised not to photograph him doing it! After 3 miles I stopped for the petrol station shot and two people rushed over, one staying a while taking photos so I photographed him! I knew the sun would be down by the time we got home, so we stopped for a couple of shots on the way and the Alfa was feeling left out! We reached home safely and I have a Gamma meeting to attend with it on Sunday. Sigmund Fraud, cort1977, egg and 27 others 30

Six-cylinder Posted January 26, 2018 Author Posted January 26, 2018 Fabulous. Interim passenger wiper arm? Any old wipers to get it an MOT and I still sleep at night! flat4alfa and dollywobbler 2
richardmorris Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Any old wipers to get it an MOT and I still sleep at night!Philistine! Is this the one you shouldn’t start with the steering on full lock?
Six-cylinder Posted January 26, 2018 Author Posted January 26, 2018 Philistine! Is this the one you shouldn’t start with the steering on full lock? Yes, the power steering is driven off one of the cam belts so if the belt is worn or out of adjustment it can jump a tooth with load from the pump. egg and richardmorris 2
Six-cylinder Posted January 26, 2018 Author Posted January 26, 2018 where is the Gamma Gathering? The Lancia Gamma consortium have arranged a lunch in a restaurant just outside Middleton Stoney.

Tadhg Tiogar Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 ......there's just something about real Citroens. ^This. I see my CX as a sort of temperamental mistress who dictates whether she'll agree to start or not. You have to approach her in a certain way and turn the ignition key more than once...... but once she agrees to fire, God Almighty can she rise..... Just look at her go. Skizzer Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Fantastic news, great to see this up and about again. The Lancia Gamma consortium have arranged a lunch in a restaurant just outside Middleton Stoney. Can you do me a big favour and find out who will actually answer an email and let me join please? I haven’t tried again lately but I still want to join. If it helps plead my case, mine used to belong to the late lamented Derek Gorman, well known in that circle I gather, and it is safely dry stored awaiting proper attention.

Six-cylinder Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 I did another 40 mile round trip in the Gamma today, to the Gamma consortium lunch. I felt a bit of a fool as some of the faults I noticed were operator error, it was good to get instruction on how to operate my car, headlights, heater fan, rear interior light and wipers! chaseracer, CGSB, Skizzer and 16 others 19
panhard65 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Those Gamma's really are nice looking cars. I keep saying I will get one sooner or later but they are heading out of my price range very quickly
dollywobbler Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Amazing. Has to be said, I've no idea what the fuss is about when it comes to the coupe. Saloon every time! Stanky and chaseracer 2
Stanky Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 I'm with DW on this. Still a lovely car, never actually seen one in the metal as far a I'm aware, and the world is a worse place for it.
wuvvum Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Was yours the only berlina in attendance? flat4alfa 1
flat4alfa Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Always wanted one of these Are you going to do the PAS pump off crank pulley mod?
Six-cylinder Posted January 29, 2018 Author Posted January 29, 2018 Was yours the only berlina in attendance? Mine was the only Berlina there, although two of the members have running Berlinas, but did not bring them.
Six-cylinder Posted January 29, 2018 Author Posted January 29, 2018 Always wanted one of these Are you going to do the PAS pump off crank pulley mod? I have new cam belts,I know not to pull on the steering wheel while cranking so I am happy to leave it standard.
Six-cylinder Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 A friend pointed out one of my Visa 17RDs today on Youtube. It was 2014 two owners ago. Mrs6C 1
Six-cylinder Posted February 6, 2018 Author Posted February 6, 2018 Today went better than Expected! I gave away my rusty XJ6 bonnet today to a stranger from FB, nice chap interested in cars. My E30 BMW has been dead on the drive since Christmas, turns over but will not run, I just have not been able to work up the enthusiasm to work on it. We got chatting about the E30 and he said he would have a quick look with me, it only started first time and runs fine. binbag, Tickman, Mrs6C and 10 others 13
