Cavcraft 2015: Vectra, because you're worthless.

My guess is the coil/coil pack/CDi 'thing' as I think they're the favourite on these. Starter spins and kick starts kicks, so he says, but no go, so hopefully something daft.

I haven't got round to collecting it yet, I'm busy organising ancient cycle collecting/disposing.

I do worry about your latest line of purchases, I really do.

Now go out and buy me a Kangoo for 200 quid. I double dare you.

That's probably doable, I think my last one was £150.

They're usually dirt cheap, even if they're working! I was offered one called a Golden Bee for £50 not long ago. I think it was about 4 years old.

He wanted a oner for it, but obviously that's too much for an eternal mingebag like me, so we halved it. I can't lose (famous last words) at that price, whatever happens. Might have a home for it already, nothing defo though.

And verily did God smite thee with another SplitLung Shitbung Pongolope Insanity 49cc Chinese 'ped. I haven't collected it yet, but it was proper cheap and doesn't actually run...

Worried about lack of recent Corsa? Worry no more, with my snazzy SXi model, paid for tonight, collecting tomorrow...

It's a bit shit, natch, and the lack of plastic rear arch and sill covers are less irritating than it's lack of back box exhaust.

Selling yourself short there my man, its an SRi, and judging by the red rear lights it's an early one, X, Y or 51 reg. Does it have the 2 tone (dark grey top, light grey bottom) dash and horrid "flower power" pattern seats?

Regards scooter if it's a 4 stroke engine it will be a 139qmi. Anything with same engine all parts will fit. Not just cheese scooters but also Peugeot, kymco, sym, tgb and some Honda scooters to name a few all run these engines

Thanks, Bub.

Hendry, yeah, that's the badger, exactly as you described.

I've just had the absolute pleasure* of driving this home (cycled up to get it) about 9 miles. Even I will struggle to defend this one, it's bloody awful and (soz to sound sexist) reminds me why I don't especially like buying cars off women with young kids.

Looks smart though. Those alloys clean up well. Swmbos 1.2 3 door was an sxi. Never did work out what the hell sxi did as it was shit in many ways. Commuted in it for 6 months for a laugh and it saved me money on fuel, but slow as crap

Back when these sorry sxi heaps were current, my aunt used to work in a Vauxhall dealer.

They used to get to take demos home on occasion, and one night some cad filled her sxi's vents with the clippings out the punch, and set the blowers to max.

Much hilarity ensued.

Well, me old mate Whatshisface from 1D popped by today and has given the Corsa his seal of approval. I don't know what his name is, but he's the one with the Sybil Fawlty hair cut.

I've locked him back in the Frontera now, he was getting on my tits going on about people trying to steal his bird.

I think it just wants the CDi thing, so hopefully not too expensive.

About 15 quid if that mate. Folks who buy modern named scooters and 125 bikes mock Chinese but they all share same engine nowadays. Yet if you bought a cdi from Peugeot or Honda price will be higher

The supermarket here was selling cheap 'n' cheerful Chinese scooters a couple of years back, at one point they were everywhere but one by one they all died and now there are none. Mate of mine's dad had one, something weird went wrong with the ignition system which nobody could fathom, it sat around in bits for a year and then went in a skip.

Looks like the Corsa has been sold, I might celebrate by buying an £11.00 CDi unit for the scooter.

We used to do that at work but the trick is to do the air vents but also put a load on top of the sun visors . So the victim hoovers the load up from the vents but doesn't use the visors for a few days and has to do it again !

  • 2 weeks later...

I don't know why, but I suddenly remembered I had to keep an eye on an ebay listing. 30 minutes to go, that was lucky. So I bid on it. And won. A sidecar....

You know, that's not a bad idea. I'll have to find a sheepskin coat and goggles for him, and maybe mount a fake machine gun on the front.
