2004 Peugeot 206 1.4Hdi five door

MOT May 2015.

£30 a year road tax.

100,000 miles.

Fucking UBER on fuel, not measured this one yet but my last one was doing 60mpg without even trying and a bit more on motorways.

Had a cam belt recently and (I'm told) a brand new clutch.

Seems to drive fine, enough poke to get you by and no known mechanical faults.

Snazzy aftermarket CD player fitted.

 

Wants a bleeding good bath inside/out, but obvs I'll be doing that before it goes.

Some scuffs and marks as you'd expect.

Stupid bollocky lazy French LHD windscreen wiper system that restricts visibility a bit if you're 6ft 3.

Only got one key and it's the non-plipper one, so I just lock/unlock the car manually.

Mrs tops has a 1.4hdi 206 she has had from new and i can confirm it costs buttons to run.

I find the gearing a bit odd. It really needs a 3 1/2 gear!

Driving position is odd. Pedals are tiny.

 

Other than that, recommended.

Someone at work drove one into/through a breezeblock wall years back as he went for the brake and hit the accelerator. We all laughed, until we realised the smoke hut had to be moved a long way away.

 

You get used to the small pedal arrangement, the wiper thing is f*cking stupid though.

You wanna try driving a GTI version, same pedals but made of shiny alloy, so still tiny and bloody slippery, especially when wet!! GLWTS
