Have we had this yet?.....I saw one for the first time yesterday..The Ford KA+ (PLUS)...I had to look twice to make sure it was what I saw.

That's a Seat Panda Terra. There's at least one other over here that turned up at last year's Festival of the Unexceptional. Don't know much more about them though.

Been chatting to some Panda apologists, and it's had the guts from a mk2 Panda 4x4 plus a few other parts fitted to it

Related to that Toyota Tamaraw up there I saw a magnificently named Toyota Stallion pick up (bakkie) yesterday.   South African built version apparently.

Fun fact:  this was actually supposed to be called the Toyota Starion, but due to a misunderstanding during a phone call between Toyota's head office in Tokyo and their South African counterparts... oh, wait.

These were an Australian bit of badge engineering thanks to the Button car plan

These were rare here because people just got the "real" version rather than the "fake" one

How it ended up outside of Australia is beyond me

The Suzuki Every Joypop, which appears to be a Supercarry with a silly name and a Kei-compliant powertrain.

So much want; the Honda Life Step, although the velour-makeover-applied-with-a-shotgun-by-stevie-wonder needs ripping out.

What Honda did before they went all sensible and built the Acty; air-cooled two cylinder commercials with enough payload for your sandwiches, a packet of monster munch and an apple, but only just. The TN7.

The Suzuki Mighty Boy; mini pick-ups are much too practical, enough space for a bag of wine gums and the wiff's handbag is adequate. With bonus pogweasel.

Suzuki's Alto Lapin. This looks like a lot of fun, albeit with the crash protection of a damp cardboard box. Wood.

Many of the above can be discovered by playing Gran Turismo 4 or visiting New Zealand

Never seen one of these before.

See them on eBay from time to time but never in the wild. Bigger than I had thought.

More JDM weirdness I spotted today. Thought it was a Nissan Cube at first but no, it's a Toyota Blackbox.based on a Yaris.

We had these in America, where it was known as the Scion xB.

Scion was conceived as Toyota's "youth" brand, intended to appeal to young, trendy, fashionable types.  Except Toyota soon discovered young people don't have any money for cars, so most xBs got bought by greying empty-nesters looking for a practical shopping trolley.  The tall, upright body made entry and egress easy for OAPs with aching joints and bad backs.  As to why Toyota thought young people would somehow be interested in a car that looked like the box it was shipped in is anybody's guess.

This failed marketing strategy is why Toyota USA eventually killed off the whole Scion brand.

Same thing happened over here with the Ford Fusion (the Fiesta on stilts, not the Yankee Mundano)
