Hi chaps,

Got this as round email from a car club I belong to. Thought this would appeal to some on here...Dugong maybe? If anyone wants it, let me know sharpish. If there's anyway I can help anyone who wants to buy it, I will, as I think it's very near to my house. I don't want it, I'd rather gargle with wasps.

"GentlemenI drew your attention to this car needing a new home a while back.Mazda 121 canvas-top as per photos belowalas the owner has now emigrated to New Zealand but his phone number is as below along with most recent correspondencecan anyone save this car-- its a very rare car indeed these days.I am sure it can be bought for less than his hoped for £ 250.00... but needs to go or he will have it scrappedalas we already have 2 121's (start my own club eh?!) If it's located in Hampshire, then sadly that's me out. Shame. A bit earlier and CMS could have bought this instead of Gary's Volvo. Now that would have been a trip to remember!

I'll remember that Wobbler, you utter bastard. I'd have looked a prize prick poured into that.

If it has T&T, I'd be happy to deliver it if you could get me a train ticket home :-)

Best not to put people's numbers and emails on public view on the net...

Good thinking RedSparrow, I'll delete it.

A bit earlier and CMS could have bought this as well as Gary's Volvo, & stuffed it in the boot. Now that would have been a trip to remember!

EFA. :)

Looks quite fun, but as it appears to be at the other end of a foreign country I'll have to leave it. GLW...etc.

It would have looked like Pac Man had eaten a prog bassist.

Any T&T left on it?

On SORN, MOT expired May 2009.

These are great little cars, non-interference (B3) engines too.

My mum ran one for over 10 years that I shipped to her from Hong Kong.

All it ever needed was a brake pipe and a couple of front dampers - and oil and filter changes over its 14 year life

It was only moved on due to rust in the lower rear arches - lack of rust protection for the South East Asian market, should have had it undersealed when it arrived in 1998...

That really is lovely. Sadly too far away etc etc .

I had one of these and it was great fun, I'd love this one but it's bound to need a load of welding and that. Having said that, they're rare now so there's not much choice.

Where is it?...

Errm, umm. That is one fugly vehicle. Really very, very fugly.

I had one years ago - auto in blue with no sunroof.  It was on an H-plate, and looked well ahead of its time.  Sold it to a mate who gave it to his mum - she's still using it.  Needed a fair bit of welding this year though.

If that one had test I'd be tempted, but as Gary says if it's been off the road for five years it's bound to need weldage, and I can't buy any more projects - especially when the cars I buy to actually use turn out to be projects themselves, viz. the Vel Shatis.
