In most of the handbooks I've had they mention regular washing of the underneath as pat of the anti-corrosion warranty, but with no explanation of how you do this. Squirt a hose pipe upwards from pavement level?

Some sort of water trough would be ideal (although I wouldn't do it with the Ora...).

Or you could DIY...

A lawn sprinkler would do a good job.

OMG! Climate change catastrophe, oh hang on that picture appears to be a long time ago.

I looked on Google Earth - there does not appear to be any obvious source for that flooding - though there was a gasworks to the left at the time. To the right there is a railway embankment - so maybe a subterranean drain or even a burst main.

The pub is still going. A live music venue.

Past anomalous weather events are no measure that the climate is not currently changing.

1932 Bugatti Type 41 Royale Cabriolet (by Weinberger), chassis number: 41121 on it's way to that America owned by Dr. Josef Fuchs, a wealthy Surgeon from Munich. It suffered a piston seizure and left for scrap. Fortunately it was saved and is still with us, although now painted white.

Thank you I have now lost a bet with the wife. She said that someone will post a comment about climate change and begin taken  too early.

Count de Cadignan at the 1903 Dourdan speed trials in a twin-crankshaft, opposed piston Bardon. The engine was built under licence from Gobron-Brillié, the inventors.

It was equipped with the 'Roussel' sprung wheels he manufactured in the mistaken belief he would put Michelin out of business.

Rolf Armstrong’s special was built on a shortened Duesenberg Model A chassis using a variety of parts, note it's got those Woodlight lights. It is believed that it survives.

Rolf Armstrong was a bit of a lad and made his money by painting pretty ladies he was known as the 'father of American pin-ups'.
