Back when the MET were perfectly happy to have 15yo vans with additional Hillman Imp rooves welded on top:

And I used to catch that bus (well, not that bus, but the same route number!) It's the Barnet Church to Walthamstow Central route! This picture is taken at the junction of Fitzjohn Avenue and Barnet High Street. The shop on the corner later became a motor factors, and they subsequently moved opposite. My wife grew up in Fitzjohn Avenue-No. 46, to be precise! Thanks for the picture, it's really brought back some memories!

I've seen this before, it seems to have been a yard that specialised in commercial vehicles.

Tewkesbury High St.

Warners are now selling Citroens but on the edge of town rather than in the centre. What is the car?

Hotel parking. The Royal Hop Pole is now a Witherspoons and there are drinking tables where the cars are parked.

Even when new , that 107” Land Rover and Oxford MO van must have been quite rare.

I had to look MO van up, I just assumed it was a Minor. I need more Morris knowledge.

I guess some might think "that would make a really cool camper van".

It reminds me of "Carry On, Cabby", where Hattie Jacques goes into the local Ford dealer and, after checking over the Cortinas on display, says, "great, I'll take fifteen." The salesman promptly faints!

Were the TT plates the white on red tax exempt plates for cars that had to be exported to maintain purchase tax exemption? I can remember my Dad buying a Renault Dauphine that one of his work colleagues had brought over to England in the 50s.
