That's Letchworth.

If you ever fancy a day out the 'Garden City' is an interesting look -round.

Hitchin is much older and is really very nice - timber framed buildings etc and well worth a day out - great 🍟 chips too I remember.

Thanks for the correction. Reading the banner hada 50/50 chance of getting it correct  and still messed it up.

Business trip to Byelorussia, 1954. All out and push!

We had to do that with Willowbrook 007 bodied Bedford's back in the 70's, just on every steep hill, your didn't need snow with those bags of shite.

S'funny, my wife's Skoda has "12 OHV" emblazoned on its 3 cylinder engine.......

My dad had OHV 579 as a reg plate on a Ford 100E.

That photo was taken in Norway at Leirbotnvann near Alta along national highway 50 now E6. And the Chevrolet van has plates from Hamar, so it was a long way from home, but it belongs to  Carl Normann 1886-1960, a photographer who took many pictures in Norway and made many postcards. Photo and van door have his mark.

My Grandad worked for Vauxhall for a time & might have been on this line.
