One of London's RLH class (looks like RLH4) being exported to the good old US of A. One on the docks as well.

Brabham HB.  1967 pic.

As a kid I really thought these had a Brabham engine straight out of an F1 car, I was very disappointed when I found out it was just a carb or whatever and an extra 5 bhp or so.

Good answer and a fantastic try from NorfolkNWeigh there, so very close but it's not quite the right answer. . .

(There is a revealer pic).

More ManchesterShite, dated 1966/67.  Guess the car following the Vauxhall.

Forget the car, just look at that North Western Alexander bodied Fleetline.

Nah, both got too much space between the point and the light.

Brilliant  stuff really enjoyed going through these, reminds me of when i was a kid in the '70's.

God the 1970's looked grim & grimy. Cool :)

Notable how many old cars there are, folk kept stuff going longer as new stuff was expensive & not affordable (no PCP etc). It was the same with everything else too including domestic appliances even clothes etc.

Probably (in some respects) we were more environmentally friendly than today - make do & mend etc rather than just buy new & chuck out the fixable. Although a smoky old HA Viva probably doesn't do too much for the environment does shipping a brand new Hyundai from Korea really help either ?!

Great stuff please keep posting this !
