If I had room on the drive and a few less points then you car would be on my drive..

I doubt if more bhp could be found for such a ridiculously cheap price...

I had a mate who had a ex motorway cop dark blue saloon T5 which was on a L plate (pre production I think) year's ago.

I can honestly say its the fastest and most scariest journey I've ever been in a car.

An indicated 150mph was achieved in the pouring rain 3 up on the M25.

The other passenger wanted to hit the driver after that brown trouser moment..

Incredible cars especially for the early 90s a future classic I think.

OMG BACK FOR SALE!

insurance group 3,342,2345 so unless you are an old fart like me you might want to check the premium!

When is the car available? I have nowhere to put my Volvo but maybe this could become the new AS bike, and a point massing contest, much the same as the calendar photo contest.

BUY THIS AND BE LIKE ME.

Oh wait, I'm trying to encourage people. They really are rather quick with little noticeable lag, put your foot down and it will very quick be OMG ACCELERATION SUCK MY COCK VAG TDi, although in mine at least the engine note is a bit muted. Only 20mpg around town as well.

Rather have something with that pace and 20 mpg. Couldn't get 20 mpg round the doors in the e200! Glws mate.

I'm an old fart. Wouldn't mind this, but would have to sell my Grand Voyager first. I have a feeling it won't be available soon.

How old is it sorry if I've missed? Also don't suppose it has extra seats does it?

Posted

no - sorry no extra seats but you can pick em up!

what age is it - might have some bearing on the insurance for me!!

I always fancied engine raping one of these to power my capri I reckon that would be a great weapon, I have no space at the minute though, no help to you at all though except the bump to the top of the page

think it's a '96?

Ideal for people called BOBX who like oral pleasure.

My mate had one of these. We went to Harrogate at 120mph, threw a Polo engine in the boot and came back at 120mph. Then a while later a Seat Ibiza rammed it at 30 and put an ikkle dent in the bootlid.

Shit damn and blast, the odds are STACKED against. I've always dreamt of losing my license again (a few units were consumed in my LAD days) but I've just picked up a VAG work hack. If the odds could be shifted into my favour, by waiting 3weeks, that would just be tip-top...

It is on my ten cars to own listand not too far from me. I have even got a garage to store it in, but month too early for money. Bugger

Just an afterthought but if a far away shiter bought this fine specimen and Scooter needed it moved asap I may be able to help with off road storage for a while am midway twixt Lancaster and Preston; collection from either Train or Bus station could be arranged.......................................

Thanks Doc,

it's in the secure yard of one of our suppliers at work. I drove it to Blackpool in September and then had to leave it as I was collecting a disco for towing, collection has been on the 'todo' list.

Main reason for selling is that, although it is basically a company pool car, I'm the only one who our insurers will allow to drive it.

It's also not quite right for visiting clients. If it were a 940 then the client might think - ah - steady pair of hands. But an 850 - a bit 'chip van'. Even the CX, to the uninitiated, can look a bit 'old' rather than 'classic' car. Hence the procurement of red5s Rover 75!

I sent a pm about this, but strangely no reply.......

I haz reply.

Thanks Scooters

Can you hang onto this for a year and a half until I can get it onto my classic policy?

I cannot believe this has not sold. Some garages next to mine have come up for rent, I am tempted to buy the fucker wang it in one of them and drag it out once I can insure it.

I'd have a bash but the last thing I need right now is another car with a short MOT.

Offer of a lift from Bus/Train station to pick up the sleeping beast is still on offer to the lucky buyer if needed, only payment required is 2 minutes of sitting in the driving seat making brum brum noises.

No, you need more so you get more practice at owning cars with short MOTs.

Lots of interest so far but folk are getting caught out on insurance.

Sadly, the insurance companies realised at some point that you have to be an irresponsible lunatic to drive one of these hence the daft premiums.

It's been on a fleet classic policy Dodgey Dicky's Diamond Dealz (trading as the Scooter Nail Emporium) and got covered, albeit with a 'if you prang it we're not paying for your funeral' caveat

at present it is on out main company fleet policy with a caveat that you have to be over 41 to drive it....which means I am the only one who can.

If you have a dealer policy getting it on cover is usually ok. If you have to put it on a main car policy - forget it, classic policy with restricted mileage - you should be ok.
