I bought one of the cheapy 10 quid ones off eBay.  It supposedly does night vision, but I'm not convinced.  Not really recorded owt with it yet as I'm waiting for the SD card I ordered to arrive, but I'm not expecting miracles for a tenner.  Although the OBD2 code reader I also bought for a tenner seems to do the job fine.

I'm impressed with the vid from that camera, way better than the one I have which I foolishly thought good, bollocks to ebay there's someone in Derry selling them on Amazon for £35 posted.

I got pissed off with the power cable dangling around the gear lever so I opened up a usb adaptor and stuffed it in one of those nasty little Maplin project boxes and hard wired it, A 2 way switch to flick between ign and a constant live source is a most worthwhile addition to allow covert monitoring surveillance snooping of tomcats pissing up your windscreen.

I have had one similar to this in my ebay watch list for months. Last night I noticed the price has increased by about £100, to £119.99.

OK, I've now tried mine on the run in to work yesterday and (as expected) it's nowhere near as good as Cobblers' one.  I might buy one of those for the windscreen and then put the cheapie one in the back as a rear view camera.

What a good piece of kit.

Go steady with that other cheaper one, I reckon it's a knockoff. Very common with this kind of thing - Chinese manufacturers see one model getting popular so make a piss poor copy and market it just a bit cheaper. The bracket and a few other bits looks different so I would steer clear IMO.

Full refund given. However, I've been doing a lot of (very boring) research, and am now tempted to blow a few quid on one of these instead.
