Not mine, but then you've got that one covered so how about this one?

Just so you all know, I'm definitely using a random number generator or a die or something to decide for this particular round.  I want to draw ALL THE CARS but I simply haven't the time to do that.

I'm going to set out the new rules for the Suggestion Friday thing learning from how I've been running it.  There are two things I want to do with this, the first is to improve the quality of my work and the second is to make the decision between suggestions a bit easier.  So, from this point going forward Suggestion Friday will become a MONTHLY thing rather than a WEEKLY thing and every piece I produce will be the highest quality I can achieve over the course of that month.

The next round will begin on the 26th of June and will be the last Friday of every month thereafter.

In the meantime, I will pick a winner from the very last round I hosted under the old rules and someone who suggested their vehicle will receive a full colour portrait.  I'm not going to tell you who yet.  It will be the first of the high quality updates too so someone is set to get quite a lot of my time for taking part here.

I've got 2 pictures to upload later tonight which are both very different, one of those is the winner from the previous round of Suggestion Friday that was due where I asked for really mundane things.  I picked Silver Audi but it won't be what you're expecting (I hope).  For now, sit tight and I'll share the new art after I've had something to eat and given the Xantia a much needed wash.

I have eaten the food, washed the car and done myriad chores and now I can sit down and play catch up with what artwork I haven't posted here.  To kick things off, a birthday commission that's a gift from wife to husband.  This one, I am told, is now framed and hangs in pride of place in the living room.  For me, that's about as good as it gets and a big reason I enjoy and take pride in my job.

Jaguar S-Type.

This next one is another commission that gives me a probably disproportionate amount of job satisfaction, just something about things being put together like this because they're personal to the customer rather than because they necessarily look good.  I'm also surprisingly fond of the Audi A2 and unsurprisingly fond of Victorian architecture.

It was commissioned by a shiter, but I haven't written their username down and can't remember what it is.  Do shout up if it's you.

Finally decided on colours for the Nash Metropolitan picture I started a while ago.  If you'd like the original it can be yours for £40 posted. SOLD and sent to America.

I love these things, they're on the very long list of cars that I'd like to at least drive one day.

Here's the one that brings us totally up to date and the winner of the last round of Suggestion Friday before I disappeared.  The suggestion itself was the most mundane suggestion you could ever make "Silver Audi".  Took the opportunity to grub about for a bit of Autoshite and remembered the predecessor to the VW Polo, the little known Audi 50.  Granted it a period-tastic but probably inaccurate blue interior.

Original is available to purchase for the standard rate of £40 with free delivery worldwide.

And the winner of the round where everyone suggests one of their own cars was...

Shiter FrankGallagher with his Renault 19.

This sets the benchmark for the quality of new artwork completed for each monthly round.  I'll set out the rules in the next post so you know exactly what's on offer.  My scanner still hates blue and watercolour-only images which this is both of.

A GM era Saab 900 Floppy Top with the roof down

In a rich metallic burgundy, perhaps?  Yes, I can see that looking rather good.  Perhaps on three-spoke alloys, with a dent in the driver's door...

Fairly obvious one from me. P4 (square fronted one, not the later P5ish looking one. You know, looks like, erm, mine?)

Happy for it to be for public consumption. Just intrigued on your take on the shape.

Thank you :)  I keep plodding away at them, striving to improve with each new one I complete.

I was going to wait until Friday to upload this with the other piece I'm working on but decided it was too good to keep to myself until then.

So, the very belated Suggestion Friday choice was FPB7's Rover P4 60, completed here in watercolour and ink.

NEW ROUND OPEN

From now until the end of September you can suggest one vehicle each as per the usual rules and it can be any vehicle you like.

Here's the thing though, October is going to be Hearse Month so whatever you suggest the vehicle/s I go with will then be drawn as hearses even if (or perhaps especially because) they never were and never should be one.

I want to pick FOUR vehicles from the list this time around.
