catsinthewelder Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Either of these would be ace vulgalour and fordperv 2
vulgalour Posted May 12, 2015 Author Posted May 12, 2015 Just so you all know, I'm definitely using a random number generator or a die or something to decide for this particular round. I want to draw ALL THE CARS but I simply haven't the time to do that.
vulgalour Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 I'm going to set out the new rules for the Suggestion Friday thing learning from how I've been running it. There are two things I want to do with this, the first is to improve the quality of my work and the second is to make the decision between suggestions a bit easier. So, from this point going forward Suggestion Friday will become a MONTHLY thing rather than a WEEKLY thing and every piece I produce will be the highest quality I can achieve over the course of that month. The next round will begin on the 26th of June and will be the last Friday of every month thereafter. In the meantime, I will pick a winner from the very last round I hosted under the old rules and someone who suggested their vehicle will receive a full colour portrait. I'm not going to tell you who yet. It will be the first of the high quality updates too so someone is set to get quite a lot of my time for taking part here. I've got 2 pictures to upload later tonight which are both very different, one of those is the winner from the previous round of Suggestion Friday that was due where I asked for really mundane things. I picked Silver Audi but it won't be what you're expecting (I hope). For now, sit tight and I'll share the new art after I've had something to eat and given the Xantia a much needed wash. purplebargeken, eddyramrod, Skizzer and 1 other 4
vulgalour Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 I have eaten the food, washed the car and done myriad chores and now I can sit down and play catch up with what artwork I haven't posted here. To kick things off, a birthday commission that's a gift from wife to husband. This one, I am told, is now framed and hangs in pride of place in the living room. For me, that's about as good as it gets and a big reason I enjoy and take pride in my job. Jaguar S-Type. eddyramrod and oldcars 2
vulgalour Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 This next one is another commission that gives me a probably disproportionate amount of job satisfaction, just something about things being put together like this because they're personal to the customer rather than because they necessarily look good. I'm also surprisingly fond of the Audi A2 and unsurprisingly fond of Victorian architecture. It was commissioned by a shiter, but I haven't written their username down and can't remember what it is. Do shout up if it's you. chaseracer 1
vulgalour Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 Finally decided on colours for the Nash Metropolitan picture I started a while ago. If you'd like the original it can be yours for £40 posted. SOLD and sent to America. I love these things, they're on the very long list of cars that I'd like to at least drive one day. oldcars, Uncle Jimmy, RayMK and 2 others 5
vulgalour Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 Here's the one that brings us totally up to date and the winner of the last round of Suggestion Friday before I disappeared. The suggestion itself was the most mundane suggestion you could ever make "Silver Audi". Took the opportunity to grub about for a bit of Autoshite and remembered the predecessor to the VW Polo, the little known Audi 50. Granted it a period-tastic but probably inaccurate blue interior. Original is available to purchase for the standard rate of £40 with free delivery worldwide. Lacquer Peel, Skizzer, Uncle Jimmy and 2 others 5
vulgalour Posted June 26, 2015 Author Posted June 26, 2015 And the winner of the round where everyone suggests one of their own cars was... Shiter FrankGallagher with his Renault 19. This sets the benchmark for the quality of new artwork completed for each monthly round. I'll set out the rules in the next post so you know exactly what's on offer. My scanner still hates blue and watercolour-only images which this is both of. nacho man, oldcars and Lacquer Peel 3

Inspector Morose Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Fairly obvious one from me. P4 (square fronted one, not the later P5ish looking one. You know, looks like, erm, mine?) Happy for it to be for public consumption. Just intrigued on your take on the shape.
stillOrange Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Vulva 960/S90 so that I can use it as picture in my upcoming for sale thread/ad
vulgalour Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 Bump! You can still make suggestions until midnight tomorrow after which time I'll decide a winner for this round and start on the artwork.
oldcars Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 These drawings really are fantastic. I did a bit of drawing when i was younger but not to this standard.
vulgalour Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 Thank you I keep plodding away at them, striving to improve with each new one I complete.
vulgalour Posted August 26, 2015 Author Posted August 26, 2015 SPECIAL OFFER TIMEI'm offering just FOUR half-price hearse themed pictures to be completed by the 31st of October. Orders must be in no later than the end of September and can be any of my tiers other than sketch. Postage of the original is free worldwide. vulgalour Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 Street furniture Moggy completed tonight and available to purchase for a meagre £40 inc. P&P worldwide SOLD and sent to America. I was going to wait until Friday to upload this with the other piece I'm working on but decided it was too good to keep to myself until then. xtriple and fordperv 2
vulgalour Posted September 24, 2015 Author Posted September 24, 2015 So, the very belated Suggestion Friday choice was FPB7's Rover P4 60, completed here in watercolour and ink. NEW ROUND OPEN From now until the end of September you can suggest one vehicle each as per the usual rules and it can be any vehicle you like. Here's the thing though, October is going to be Hearse Month so whatever you suggest the vehicle/s I go with will then be drawn as hearses even if (or perhaps especially because) they never were and never should be one. I want to pick FOUR vehicles from the list this time around. GO! Angrydicky, stripped fred, EssDeeWon and 7 others 10
