I'm sorry. I've sold my magnificently shite Heep as it was the wrong time of year to be driving about in a 4x4. Obviously.

My new weapon of choice is a 1991 Porsche 944 S2 in dark blue, and whilst it is very presentable there are several issues which point it towards shite status. for example, the sunroof is currently secured using the finest duct tape. There are however no zip ties anywhere on it yet, something I hope to rectify in the near future.

It fits the bill of being brilliant to drive, reasonably economical, suitably different, able to fit 2 bikes in the boot and most of all it's pretty damn cool in my book. Don't worry though, I still have the Jag(cos no fucker would buy it)  so am not redeeming my shite credentials just yet.

I am now in the position to have the following conversation with my good lady

Mrs Dome: Oh lovely man of mine who pleases me in every way possible*, Shall we take the Jaguar or the Porsche today?

Me:  Lets see which one will start.

Obligatory petrol station shot after collection-I didn't choose a Gulf station for historical wanky reasons, I chose it cos it had fuckall petrol in it when I got it and this was the closest station

That is nice I will have to get a porsche one day now these 944's are getting so cheap

Self respecting yuppies drove 911s surely ya?

Don't see many 944s in that colour, looks very well.

I love those 944 S2's. Best engine, best look. That has to pe a pretty late one I'm sure they switched to the 968 around 92.

It looks tidy as Mushy Shitpeas said it's an odd colour most S2's seem to be that dark metallic silver

Oh yah, that looks super. Let me run this by you; you've got your Porsche 944 S2, your driving down Edinburgh boulvard wearing your Giorgio Armani city pinstripe, RayBan/Oliver Peoples glasses, like, how much more cool can you look yah?

'YF' denotes that this car was originally registered in London, so hey, who knows? It could have been registered and driven by some yuppie type.

I'd always wanted to be an 1980s/1990s yuppie myself you know.

Beautiful. Well bought.

Lovely motor I'm jealous I really would love a 944 and yours is a bit different to the usual guards pink or recession white..

If I had room and money for more cars then a Porsche 924/944 would be on the top of my wish list..

Are they the original wheels or Boxster ones? I think I prefer the flat ones that they usually come with.

Lovely looking car, love the colour also.

These wheels are also seen on the 911.

Bugger. I'm doing this wrong. Just drove to Kircaldy and am sitting by the coast eating a baked potato and drinking Capri Sun. Wearing an old fleece. Living the dream.

Yeah these wheels are off a 911 or Boxster, not sure which. The originals are nice but command vag scene tax as all the mongs put them on their golfs. These ones are growing on me, I'd prefer the cup 5 spokes with the straight spokes but am not fussed about changing these

You utter bastard. That's a lovely looking motor! I only hope to have one similar one day.

Gorgeous car in a timeless colour and a very Porsche interior.

Santa came early.

Extra magnificant. You'll find that driving this is a pleasure, Dome.

Any Porsche wheels command OMGVAG tax, so it wouldn't be that hard to replace the wheels, and flog them on.

I really like that colour, too. Uncommon on anything, let alone 944s.

Yeah the colour combo was a big plus point for me-I've had 2 red(pink) ones previously. As I said the wheels are growing on me and I've just put two new front tyres on so they'll be staying for a while-there's plenty of other bits and pieces needing doing to occupy my time and wallet. Plus 17" alloys give a better tyre choice than the 16" ones it would have came with.

It does drive well-I'm looking forward to a dry non windy day and a twisty road or two to give it a proper test :)

Noice.

I'll have to get myself some yuppie chariot too. I fancy one of those 928 super car jobs though. How long before boxters are shite? Probs already shit so shouldn't be long now.

Remind me what jag you have dome.
